If this school is a rich school district now, why don't they pay the teachers a better salary instead of just 5% increase. I hope the kids don't have to sell all those junkie things for their trip money.

Education Should always come first And getting good qualified Teachers means paying for good qualified teacher. Without teachers there's no lawyers no doctors No judges no presidents. In my opinion a teachers pay Should be a minimum of $70,000 a year for preschool through middle school and $80,000 a year for junior high and high school. I bet that alone would produce beyond average students. Or we can pay teachers $30,000 a year and produce oilfield workers the kind these oil companies want.

Teachers did NOT get 5% raise, only aides, custodians and bus drivers.....teachers are the only ones that never get a raise. Yet most of them are paying higher taxes on homes.
And higher prices on gas, food, etc. Teachers are expected to do more but never get paid more......richest school district, but lowest paying school district.

I don't think teacherd should get squat! All they do is brainwash kids and prepare them for that stupid TAKS test. They really never teach them anything!

you are as stupid as they come. If it wasn't for a teacher you wouldn't be able to even type the ignorance that you typed. Teachers should be paid well. just like we expect them to do a good job teaching our children teachers should expect good paid for doing it.

Folks please excuses me if I sound a little sensitive when it comes to teachers but I have alot of respect for the education field and without a teacher you wouldn't be able to read my opinion.let make it teacher Appreciation Day and thank a teacher if you consider yourself educated.

The school districts are all run by socialists and brainwashed government drones! They don't even teach the three R's anymore!
