Supporter. Susan Pamerleau will be nothing but a puppet to Keven Wolf. He want's the Jail privatized. Susan herself admits she was involved in closing bases while in the Air Force. How many San Antonio citizens lost their job's or had to take an early retirement when Brook's field and Kelly field were closed. She has no law enforcement experience at all and we don't need another pincil pusher, chair wamer, and figurehead. She ran against Commissioner Tommy Adkinsson and lost. She wanted to run for District Judge until she found out she needed a law degree to run for District Judge. Now she wants to be SHERIFF. No thanks. We need a real law enforcement candidate to run for sheriff. One that knows what it's like to go into a dark building after a burglar. One that knows what it's like to answer calls from family violence to investigating a murder. One who knows what it's really like being a lawman. No thanks Susan. Keep your Military ritirement and high paying job at USAA.

You should ask who their association is voting for. I believe Ricketts is the White man to vote for and lead the BCSO to where is should be. Those guys need to be organized amongst themselves. If they privatize the jail take that female building the annex building. Use the deputies for more protection in the streets. I see more SAPD than BCSO on the streets and they look sharp,in shape, and smart. My vote is forr Ricketts.

P.S General Pamerleau is not a good person to vote for. She will do what the commissioners Court want done. We already have a limp d*#k that is afraid of the Commissioners court. Why vote in a female version of it ?

So Sausage what your saying is people should vote for Ricketts because he is a white man? Ask Ricketts what real law enforcement experience he has other than a full time paid jail perimeter officer. The rest of the time he has been nothing more than a reserve deputy. Ask him how many times he has answered a call, made an arrest, testified in court as a full time paid officer. Court records can be looked up under the open records act.

Larry Ricketts is the only clear choice....he has stayed relevant and involved every year regardless....he is well liked a business man, honorable and has cared about the dept. and Deputies year after year....Where does Andy dissapear to after every campaign?????? How does he know what's going on with our community county or deputies....how in the world can he run a department when he doesn't even pay his own bills???? Everyone better do a little digging and thinking before they vote we need to lift up the department not lower it's classification AGAIN by putting embarrassing cookie cutter leadership in the Sheriffs position...i mean seriously people Amadeo has been a joke and Andy will be an embarrassment mark my words...he needs to clear up all his hot checks and bank loan he ran out on....when the going gets rough he will easily run out on the department too leaving a mess for someone else to clean up!!!

Pamerleau has run for another political office and lost. Ricketts has run for other political offices and lost. So, while the Sheriff's Office might seem to be the next easiest path into "politics", I don't think they have what it takes for THIS office.
It takes someone with a passion for THIS JOB, to really make a true difference.
Ortiz has made a mockery of the BCSO, and there are too many jobs and families at stake to risk a Wolff driven privatization of the jail at the hand of an Air Force General! It's not just rumors and propaganda, it's a REAL possibility! Remember, it was all just rumors till Brooks and Kelly got the axe, destroying small, family owned businesses while benefitting local Fat Cats and a few Air Force Generals getting ready for retirement as well.
We support Andy Lopez because he has a viable solution for the jail, and for his outspoken opposition to the current, corrupt, good ole' boy administration. Andy started in the jail many years ago, retired as a Chief with BCSO, and is NOT a politician! Andy Lopez is a good man, a LOCAL man who'll protect LOCAL jobs and restore dignity to the Bexar County Sheriffs Office.
Andy Lopez is OUR Man!
Seriously, where does Andy run off to after every election you never see him doing anything until that time. He doesn't stay around and informed...and a GOOD doesn't lie,run out on hot checks and bank loans.....Your selection for Sheriff should have stayed involved and be fiscally responsible...

I think he meant right man. But even still he has stayed involved to the needs of all involved...he might not have answered a call but he fought for this country in Vietnam so I think you could work together on that one....and all the other things he agrees with the Depuities and staff....he's not afraid of Comm. Court. God when are we finally going to be willing to open our minds to something else instead of men all cut from the same cloth....How's that been working for us...Andy Lopez is an unreliable snake that needs to crawlmbackmunder the rock he disappears to after each election......he just wants the title.

Really maybe you need to do some homework, he isn't honest nor fiscally responsible, where does he disappear to after every race? He doesn't stick around talk to deputies, attend meetings, listen to complaints ect. How is that dependable? You have to have high standards for yourself first.....Ricketts is the best choice....he's for the deputies, department, and staff....

Andy ran for office and lost .....what does that comparison do? He is not a reliable choice after every election he runs off...how does that help the BCSO or the needs...he can't even pay his own bills so how can he be trusted to protect the finances of the Dept.??? He doesn't give two you know what's about anything except the title....

High Standards???? Andy Lopez is a professional at not telling the truth and only telling you what you want to hear....only to find out later he's lied. He is not fiscally responsible...and disappears after every election....he only what's the glorified title. He is not dependable he has ran off and not given one thought to what the dept or deputies have gone through the last three years ......stop building him up to be something he's not....
At least be honest yourself about his actions....we all have seen it or I mean maybe not seen it......

I'm not a naive person, and especially not a naive voter. When it comes to this forum, I have no problem expressing my opinions, be they right or wrong from anyone else's point of view. Here, however, is what I know for sure.

Nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. Every person on this earth will continue to be imperfect until the Good Lord above calls us home at the end of our time. I have not deluded myself into thinking that any of the candidates I plan to vote for in their respective races are saints. Nor do I judge them, or anyone on this earth for their past shortcomings.

That being said, I've heard the rumors about ALL the candidates' pasts, and even a few about their PRESENT activities. ; )(Glass house, anyone?)I'm not so worried about anyone's past that I don't stop to look at the big picture. In fact, I admire all the candidates for their willingness to undergo such public scrutiny.

In the end, we all have our own methods of choosing which candidates to vote for, and I won't get on and rant repeatedly because frustration and desperation are just not my style. My method of choice is to determine which candidate is the most qualified and experienced for the job at hand, and in the Sheriff's race, Andy is it!

Other candidates may be nice guys,(or not) or hung out with who they thought were influential people for a long time, or like or not like the county commissioners, or volunteer at the animal shelter ( tongue in cheek) or wish they could wear big boy (or girl) pants, but it JUST DOES NOT QUALIFY THEM FOR BEING SHERIFF!

Rant all you want to, but nothing takes the place of good old fashioned know how! My votes still for Andy Lopez.

My My Ricketts. Is that the best you can do. Didn't you try this same scheme four years ago and it didn't work. After four years if Mr Lopez had hot checks don't you think he'd be in the lockup by now? After all that is a crime. And speaking of crime. Didn't you contact Andy Lopez after he beat you in the last election by over 30,000 votes? Did you not meet with him and offer your support and endorsement in the runoff with Ortiz? On one condidtion. If he gave you a job as a chief? And when Andy Lopez told you that he would be happy to recieve your support but told you NO that he would not promise you a position because that would be a crime you turned and went to Ortiz. Ortiz agreed to give you a position and you endorsed him and were even on a television commercial endorsing him. Now that to me sounds like Ortiz offered you a bribe and you accepted the bribe. But you never got the position he offered you like all the others he offered positions to. Bribes are criminal actions you know. Or maybe you don't since your not so well experienced in law enforcement. Mr Ricketts has run for Sheriff several times both as a Republican and a Democrat and lost everytime. He even ran for State Representative 118 against Mr. Farias and lost. What's he going to try for next? President? Mr Ricketts is apparently upset with Andy Lopez because he knows Andy is way ahead of him and will beat him in the primaries. He knows his bribe companion doesn't have a chance of being re-elected so he or his supporter go after the next Sheriff Andy Lopez.

I think Susan Pamerleau is exactly what the Sheriff's Office needs. Having met with her on several occassions and hearing what she has to say about important topics that relate to the Sheriff's Office, I can say that she is not in support of handing over the jail (privatizing) to the County Commissioners. She IS in favor of running an effecient and PROFESSIONAL department and I for one am relieved that we finally have a candidate that is not part of the good ol' boy system and brings to the table the drive to make our Sheriff's Office the best it can be, for staff and for the citizens of Bexar County. Susan is a born leader and will bring the Sheriff's Office up to the level it needs to be at.
Thats all we need to be the Sheriff, a retired "Wing Nut"! She needs to go and retrieve a bucket of propeller pitch from the flightline. While shes there, she might as well bring back a container of jet wash too. We need a real professional in office. That professional is Andy Lopez all the way!

Gato Negro, Here is my analysis of you again in case you haven't read my post under "Why are there so many Coward" forum.

From your negative comments, I’ve determined that you are a frustrated, insecure individual. Your mother probably abandoned you as a child (she didn’t want you or loved you), you were a bed wetter until the age of 17, you had no friends in school, and you had no girlfriend as you were growing up. You also have a little pecker and watch dirty movies. You have never amounted to anything in life, are probably employee at a menial job, have no love life (except for “Manuela”), and you have a deep subconscious fears that you are a homosexual. You are unsure of your masculinity. That explains your comments about “culo.” Subconsciously, you want it in “el culo.” What a pathetic little man. Grow up homey, no one takes you seriously. You thrive and want the attention your mother never gave you. We’ll ignore you on this forum and you slitter away eventually.

I think that voters have to approach this race with an open mind and make sure they educate themselves on the candidates when they cast their valuable vote. I will be voting for Susan, but if a Democrat wins I honestly hope it's Ricketts. I believe that either candidate is a win-win for BCSO employees.

I might be mistaken and correct me if I am wrong and I dont know alot of the candidates but, I have heard that Andy Lopez has numerous hot checks here in Bexar county. And that he took the written police officers exam in Universal City and FAILED. Is this someone we really want serving as SHERIFF and PROTECTING our families?? I don't!!!

Look at it this way. Anybody is better than that nutless wonder Ortiz. We need someone who will uphold the law, not break the law. He's so week in the knees that he can't muster up the courage to enforce the state's penal code. Pretty sad. That's what laws are for. Enforce them. VOTE NO for Sheriff Ortiz.
