Does anyone do this here? I just found out that if you find an expired item at HEB, then you get a good one for free..I tried it out last week and got organic milk, a loaf of Italian bread and some chicken wings. Tell me your adventures in this!

I go to an HEB that is overflowing with outdated products. I've made out with loads of meat, milk, pastries, salads, etc. Now, the store management is starting to get rude about my findings. I told them to clean up their act if they don't like it. But, as long as it's policy, it will be honored. Or, I call the news media. It solved the problem. Only now, they are doing a much better job of removing outdated items from shelves. I go to several locations. This can be time consuming. You have to hunt for these things. Happy shopping.

We have just recently found out about this policy and have had some really good finds. We have found whole chickens, brisket, pork and beef ribs, hamburger meat, bread, cheese and eggs. We have gone to several different stores around us and we have only had issues with one being rude. Not our fault they don't keep their store stocked with fresh items.

Why is HEB so full of shit? On their commercials they say all the produce is grown here in Texas, meat cows from Texas, when you read the labels,it says from Valenzuela,Mexico. HEB needs to start saying on their commercials that their fresh produce comes from foreign countries. HEB is unTexan & unAmerican by giving jobs overseas & putting americans out of work.
