Downtown Jasper changes, Ashy stays same

Probably the oldest retail establishment still in operation in downtown Jasper is the P. N. Ashy store on Houston Street across from the courthouse.

I recently sat among the piles of dry goods and had a nice conversation with Mary Ashy. She is an absolutely nice person who is loved by the Jasper community.
