These poor childern and there families. I feel in my heart that moms and children should be brought back together and live
at the Eldorado ranch. i feel CPS can make daily, or even weekly surprise visits that deem necessary. The religion of Mormons is quite different. Most do not believe in polygamy. Mormons have a great respect for family values. I think CPS and are making a mountain out of a mole. I am not sure Foster care is the answer for these children. Do the DNA stat. Put the families back together and punish the perpatrators.

IF these folks had provided a normal, healthy, UNabusive environment for their children, they would not be experiencing this upheaval. I do not feel sorry for any of them, only the children involved. Religion is not the issue here. Children are the issue here.

The women interviewed sound like they're on valium or something. In their bunned up hair and prairie dresses, they're almost interchangeable with no discernible individual personalities. Very scary to think children are reared by automatons like this. These folks are quite abnormal. If they're not being drugged, then they've been thoroughly brainwashed. CULTS do that. I fail to see how any judge could think it would benefit the children to be sent back to the cult--it IS a cult.
Add to that all the horror stories surfacing about how the girls are treated and the alarming number of children with previously broken bones, it sounds like a Stephen King novel plot.
Then there's the polygamy angle. Sounds like a pervert's idea of heaven on earth--all the fresh crumpet of most any age you can grab for the taking. I simply cannot imagine any woman putting up with all that and the men hurting the children as well. I'd kill any man who tried to hurt my child. Can't understand why they allow these indecencies to be inflicted on theirs.

Don't know what the authorities will end up doing with this huge mess, but anything they do will be better than what most of these people have been through already.

I completely agree with Nissa! It sickens me to my very core what this so called life they have been living. These poor children do not need to be given back to these people. They need to have their identities changed and given to normal famalies where they can live a normal and happy life and actually become someone in our society. She is absolutely right.. they look like robots without a way to think for themselves, its sick! All it is is pedophilia hidden behind so called religion!

Polygamy is one thing, for consenting ADULTS. These children are just that and should not be exposed to the horrors of these camps where little girls are forced to do horrible things by men at least twice their age. You can't punish just the perpetrators, because they are all perpetrators. They either made this stuff happen or allowed it to and they should be punished according to the law. If these children were abused in a regular house, but primed not to say anything, people would not be saying oh, they are so and so religion, just put them back together so they can be a family!! If they find out the kids were abused, they should be treated just like any other household and all those who did not commit acts should be brought up on neglect charges as they allowed it to happen. Plain and simple, these people are brainwashed. The kids should NOT be put with their mothers as they already tried that and the mothers tried to convince the kids to lie or not answer questions. The mothers are just as guilty as any of the men. It is a shame that these kids have to be punished because of their environment, as it is a shame that all kids of abusive households have to be taken away from their parents. It's time to think about what will be good for the KIDS in the long run and punish the parents for abusing their children.

I too agree these children should not be returned. These women are slaves..not just sex slaves, but work slaves. Their is no upper level education offered when these children are grown. The girls grow up to become Mothers...so, their thinking is: you don't need a college education to bear children. That's what the girls do...grow up...have a house full of kids...the boys...well...some of them are taken to town and dropped out...never to return to their family. So..if you are a boy..you have a chance to be "thrown away" / girls just have babies..that's all there is to their life. It goes on and on and on.
And..not to mention the special need children they are having because relatives have children together.
I have done lots of research..to see what makes these people tick. It's horror story after horror story. Makes me sick. They need to go to Mexico if they don't like the way things go here in the USA....however...they won't do that, because they would not be able to receive their welfare checks.
I would like the truth from them, but that is something we will not get. They believe it is ok to lie to the authorities...because we are the enemy; not just CPS...all of us...they call it "lying for Jesus"..so...that makes it ok..
They are very evil people...well..just remember their leader is in prison...and they still honor him...what does that tell you?
There was a big scandal in the Catholic church, but the Catholic church took care of it and are still dealing with it. These people do not believe their leader did any wrong. I could write a novel on them, but, better stop. It makes my blood boil. Little kids never get to laugh out loud...are not allowed to cry..no toys...etc..etc...they begin working when very young...so..is this itself not child abuse?????

"lying for Jesus"..

They have some interesting beliefs. "Bleeding the Beast" is another one used.
"Blood Atonement" is another one.

Warren Jeffs has done alot of damage to these people. All in the name of religion!

That's how they cover it up, all in the name of religion. People have been doing this since the beginning of time and the US lets them do whatever in fear of offending someone. They should have done something a long time ago on the simple fact that they are polygamists. Which is outlawed here and in the Bible. I feel sorry for the children that are born into this terrible situation that grow up thinking this crap is ok because they aren't exposed to anything else. If they don't get their kids back they have only themselves to blame. Your kids come first, you know what is right and wrong and basically giving them to some old dude at 13 or 16 or whenever they're ready to reproduce is sick.

The Church Father's books is the Holy Bible who do you think cannonized the Bible in abt 350 AD? The LDS have never called their Church learders the Church Fathers...everyone who knows anything about Christian history knows who that distiction is left to...just like we know who the Apostalic Fathers were as well. And the only way to spot false prophets is to have the gift of the Holy Spirit which comes through having a personal relationship with the Savior. We worship him and not the Bible as you do. Where has worshiping a book gotten the Traditional Christians....about 200,000 different denomonations and sects just in the U.S. alone who interpet the Bible differently and awhole lot of fighting with each other.

These people aren't using the Bible, they have their own Mormon Bible which was written by Joseph Smith. You are correct, you can't spot the false prophets necessarily, but usually, there's a sign of some kind, and this cult crap is your sign. There are going to be alot more false prophets but Christians are told to reject them. As a Christian I have been given the tools to spot them. I would never be involved in something like this.

Amen.

Joseph Smith:
Con Man
Illusionist
False Prophet

The Ranch had:
The Book of Mormon
The Pearl of Great Price
Doctrines and Convenants

And 24/7 access to the children, some of whom were not with their parents. It's a brain-washing camp, pure and simple.

Warren even admitted on tape that he was not a prophet and had never been one.

There has been a great deal of information about how having Warren J. in jail has affected the sect. He wanted the evidence from Tx suppressed in his proceedings.

I really believe that all of this has been about getting evidence on him.
Plus, he is in jail and having to watch what is going on in Texas at the Eldorado Ranch.

You notice he is even going further downhill and has been hospitalized.
He's left some trash in Texas he needs to bag up and haul elsewhere.

Any updates? I haven't had time to keep up at all. Any mention of this at church has been taken over by politics and world problems. Like say,
unemployment and Dow falling down off the charts, etc.

I don't even know where to begin on all this misinformation. Here Goes:

1. "Their is no upper level education offered when these children are grown."

Way to stick you foot in your mouth. First these people live in the same country that you live in, so they have the same educational opportunities. Second, there is a branch of Arizona's Mojave Community College located right in Colorado City. Here's the link to the webpage ( http://www.mohave.edu/pages/165.asp ) Third, if these women have no education, how did they get their teaching ?

2. "They need to go to Mexico if they don't like the way things go here in the USA....however...they won't do that, because they would not be able to receive their welfare checks."

There you go, sticking the other foot in your mouth! Texas investigated the YFZ Ranch. Turns out nobody was on welfare after all. According to the Deseret News of May 18, 2008,“Although the Texas Health and Human Services Commission has reported that none of the families who are members of the west Texas FLDS sect targeted by child protective services were on welfare, by becoming wards of the state they will be eligible for various taxpayer-funded social services they weren't using before the April 3 raid.” Hmmm Maybe some of the activist have been exaggerating just a tad.

3. "There was a big scandal in the Catholic church, but the Catholic church took care of it and are still dealing with it."

That's Funny. Haven't the FLDS said they will wait until the girls reach the age of consent before they perform any more marriages?. That means they too have taken care of the problem. Also, they have not denied underage marriages. They do dodge the question, it's called pleading the Fifth. They also say they don't FORCE underage marriages. Please note the word FORCE. It is a key word. Most of you activist take this to mean they do not wed underage girls at all. Not true, they have been doing this for decades, and they know it. They usually kept it within the laws of monogamy.(Warren Jeffs really changed this) They assumed that if society was OK with monogamist doing it, then society would be OK with them doing it.

Most of this post is misinformation.

Good God, don't you guys research anything. Go down to your local LDS (not the FLDS) church and ask them for a copy of the bible they use. You will see it says "King James Version" right on it.
