well, I can tell you that down at the by IGA they are rude, just flat out rude, mary rowe and vickie down there dont want to help anyone out!! I witnessed this first hand. BUT over at middle fork, they are as sweet and as kind as they can be, will offer you anything they have to help someone in need - also witnessed this with my own eyes!!
As for people stealing, i know of one person theiving the night the tornado came, Josh Smith - he is also on probation, or so i heard, he was stealing out of what was left of Mi-dee Mart, stole lottery tickets and stuff. as there is no proof to this and nothing will ever be done to him, so it dosent even matter!!
As none of this is even any of my business, but i think its pretty shitty that people try and go to these places for HELP and they get degraded and yelled at by people that try and keep things for themselves and dont want to try and help those in need!! pathetic if you as me, we need to get people down there at that church that actually CARES about the people and wont be mean to them!

an thats mostly why most people went an volunteered to go through an get out what they wanted or just to say they volenteered so they would think they were clear an not be acused of any thing cause they volenteered but doing good has to come from the heart or theirs no point in it if u do it just to mak ur self look good (in front of others) lik some of the volenteers did

About Carson ..... Anyone with half a brain who really knew the deal and wasn't sitting at home during the storm and immediately thereafter all pilled up and watching Sponge Bob on their I-Pod would know he was out getting people off of the streets and directing them where to go to immediately afterward. Yeah he eventually went to take care of all of his stuff that was laying open for the thieves but only after he saw to the immediate safety needs of the community and had a handle on things as Sheriff. I have only lived here 4 years but I have never met a more humble guy who would bend over backwards to help people, even when it is to his own disadvantage. We are fortunate to have a man of Carson's caliber as our Sheriff. That's all I have to say, enjoy your crabby patties.

My daughter's home was damaged beyond repair and she, with her
husband, was inside the house when the storm knocked it off its
foundation and ripped the roof back as the rain and hail poured
in. When she stopped by the this place in question, she was
treated very badly too. Also, she was treated badly by the people
who ran the one in the old Mountain Comprehensive building that
stands beside True Value Hardware. There was new items that she
was not allowed to have...as a matter of fact, she had to give
back items that one of the volunteers had given to her. My
daughter and her husband is staying at my home because her's is
simply not livable and FEMA is slow as smoke off a dog turd!

i dont think its right for the volunteers to go through the stuff ,i think when it comes off the truck it should be put out for the people who lost their stuff they should get first pick it was donated to them not people who are volunteering now if the people who lost their stuff is voluntering then that would be ok if this is true that volunteers are going through the stuff and getting what they want then they are no better than the ones who are going there getting stuff when they were not affected by the tornado its the same thing , alot of people were affected by this people lost jobs and may need a little help i think the water should be given to anyone .

If I had an answer, I would tell you, but maybe you could go by
the place where my daughter was told that she couldn't 'have that'
and have them to tell you. They took it back and directed her to
the items she could have, which were really rejects that others
had looked through and decided they didn't want or need. But
that's okay, I'm sure we'll survive this if the big bad ole tornado didn't succeed in killing us, these 'King Sh*ts' are not
going to do us that much damage!
