I was just wondering if there will be school in Magoffin County tomorrow due to the illness in the county?

I heard from a reliable source that Doc H. called the Board office and highly recommended that school be canceled for the rest of the week due to large amount of flu cases. Wonder if they will listen?

They need to listen! I mean I don't want my child to attend school and get the flu when they have been told to cancel school.

I agree. I think I should be canceled for the rest of the week to make sure the kids don't get any sicker than they already are.

No, what they'll do is have it tomorrow so germs can be spread, then call it off the rest of the week. I also think when school is called off for illness, all extra curriculum should be cancelled as well....practice included! My child has been going to practice while we have been out for sickness. There are nothing important enough, regardless if what our coaches think, than to put our kids in danger of getting the flu or awful virus. Someone needs to get their priorities straight! Kids health comes before any sport.

You are kind of off the topic. No one is here to be a spell check or dictionary. Neither are we here to argue. So if the only reason you are on here is to start drama, I would like to suggest to save it, we do not want to hear your immature name calling. One would think adults would be more mature, but you have more than proven not. Btw......mobile devices does not have spell check, it auto corrects.

thats right, down the school system, but then try to take the high road........ why don't you try doing the job for a while and see how well you do!! anything that is done in Magoffin County has to create a backlash of negative talk. Going to bed and will not respond to this again.......the COUCH is calling me this time ....still laughing lol!!!

My children do not play basketball, but for what my two cents are worth I hope the coach gets the double pneumonia flu if there is such a thing and see how many practices he has then the [email protected]@ bunch of people, parents included, for taking their child to practice in the first place. For the record it doesn't mater how much they practice they are never going to make it past the regionals and they've got about a 20% chance of getting that far, but I'll have to say practice is good exercise for the kids. That's about it though.

Go to bed you couch potato coach!!! Lmao. This is a site where people go to talk about things going on in their community not a test to see how well we can spell. You must be one of the sorry coaches that's having the practices and can't find anything bad to say about us parents taking up for our children, your pathetic, theres other things in life besides school sports. And just so you know I don't draw a check i actually work outside of the school system and make a hell of a lot more than a coach or teacher that thinks they rule the county!!!!!

Has anyone heard anything on the school situation yet, is there a big absence today or what? Are they gonna call it off the rest of the week?

I heard there were several kids out today. Now, what that's worth, only time will tell. Truth us, we all should've kept our kids home today for precautionary reasons.
