It looks like they r not going to do anything and I don't think we should let this just happen and not do something about it because if we do we r no better than them so come on people write letters and call do it for the kids take the school back it's our school if it wasn't for our kids they wouldn't have a school hell they wouldn't even have a job.......did u read the paper this week!!!!

Some of the parents need to get together at the next board meeting, or request a special called board meeting, and ask what the outcome of their internal, as well as the social service investigation is.

That world has gone to hell because adults instill so much hate and violence in kids. You have no right, nor anyone for that matter to whip, hit, TORTURE or bring any harm to anyone what so ever. In stead of people sending kids a message "if you do one little thing that's not to my satisfaction then you will get beat or tortured", people need to take away the tv and things like that if they do Somthing bad towards other people. give kids a more loving inviorment. Everyones so hateful towards kids. And the people that think like you are to blame. I hope your proud for putting them on the path of destruction. Btw it said the boy said a cuse word, not cuse someone out. It's just a word. Not so nice to say to people but still just a word like any other. It's no ones right to do that to the boy. All they should've done was suppend him. They have no right to cause any harm to him in anyway.

Alittle kid especially will 99% behave how who there around. If they are always around hatefulness, that's a pitty, they will act just like them. It's crazy that the schools have the children more time then the parents, and they don't get to raise them in a more loving no stressful/scary environment.

Your such a hypicrite. The kid said one little cuse word. Just a word like any other. And you are saying he needs terribly beat but yet look at your post. Really? Pathetic.

This is very sad. The teacher is probably young and inexperienced, yet should have had enough training to have known this was wrong. She probably had no idea it was going to cause her to possibly lose her job and maybe even her teaching certificate. Of course, the child should have had a different punishment, (calling the parent, suspended, counseling) there were many different punishments that should have been used, never violence. Maybe this will send a message to all school employees who want to keep their jobs to follow the law instead of making them up as they go along. If you are going to lose your temper to the point of abuse, then maybe you need a different profession. I'm not saying this is true or not. I'm just saying if it is, it was obviously, the wrong choice on behalf of the teacher and principal. I figure the state will be observing the Salyersville Grade school for the 2011-2012 school year to make sure no more laws will be violated. The employees there have a long year ahead of them. But, students will definitely get the education they deserve. For everyone's sake, I hope things can be worked out. I don't know the teacher or the Principal but I do hope things work out so they may keep their teaching certificates and I hope the child is compensated for the very poor choice that those involved decided to partake in.

Just wondering, How in the world do these teachers still have their jobs?!? It's ridiculous! I just can't understand this county at all. If this happened anywhere else, these people would already be completely out of the school system with no chance of returning. It's a scary thought as to what our schools will let go on. How are our children supposed to learn anything in this kind of enviroment???

now most SGS students can't write in cursive I learned that in 3rd grade sad I mean they can't even write their ABC's in Cursive nothing it is sad and in my opinion if we don't do something about these teachers now our kids are going to be the ones who suffer.....
