YOU KNOW, I HAVE LIVED IN SALUDA FOR OVER 15 YEARS AND I NOW HAVE TO EITHER LEAVE OR FACE BOSS HOG TYPE LAW ENFORCEMENT. I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN INVESTING IN THIS QUAINT LITTLE TOWN THAT YOU FIRST STAND ON SEMINARY STREET AND CULLIPHER STREET AND BANG TWO PANS TOGETHER. SEE HOW FAST THE POLEECE TAKE TO RESPOND. SEE THE NASTY RESIDENCE BELOW YOU AND THINK AGAIN ABOUT SPENDING YOUR MONEY IN A TOWN WHERE THE LAW HAS THEIR "HANDS" TIED. YOU SHOULD MOVE ON, THAT WILL SAVE YOU FROM A FAILING TOWN WHICH SHOULD BE DISINCORPORATED.

You know, Hillbilly Jack, I too, have lived in Saluda for over 10 years now and I know exactly from whence you speak! Seems like the poleece do others' bidding while the law abidin' citizenry must cool their heels and wait for nuttin' honey! You would think if anyone had any concern about their property values they would do something about the harassment of the locals and about renaming "law enforcement" to "law unenforcement". How's that sound, Billy Jack? Your's truly, Daisy Maisy

Lived in Saluda in days of old when times were great and everyone knew everyone. Had PARTY LINES on the phone and everyone knew everyone's else business if it was discussed on the phone. That was the way the old fokes kept up with the news, not the internet or news paper. Oh well times change and so the the people. Seems like the new people of this day an age want to always CHANGE things. Saluda was great in the old days when it snowed and the whole town went to the back side of Holly Hill Old and Young alike and rode sleds most of the night. Grocery stores owners donated the hot dogs, Marsh mellows, Coffee and Hot chocklet to have over a bond fire built on the top of the hill and everyone enjoyed it. Now all the new people want to do is change names of roads, and the way that made Saluda the Saluda that most people really came to enjoy.

Don't Kick the lid off my Slop Jar or It WILL STIR up a STINK.

I agree 100% with all the posts. Seems like the law is more concerned with whether you have a rear view mirror on your golf cart than standing up to the vicious dog owner who violates every ordinance on the books. Who do you have to know in Saluda to get a fair shake? It's a real shame.

What is wrong with you people? Nothing you have said is productive! Saluda is a GREAT town. YOu caould make it even better if you would think about volunteering instead of bitching all the time. Get over it!

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Leo

If there have been slight tensions or frictions between you and a loved one recently, this is the perfect day to get them out into the open, thrash them out and then forget about them. Things could get quite heated in the process but don't worry because they'll work out all right in the end. Put as much energy into kissing and making up as you did in arguing!
