How will the trees grow back when they are talking of building a subdivision? Let's just hope all the snakes and animals that called the forest their home doesn't take it to town. I guess when the heavy rains really hit hard in Saltville, we will see just how useful these trees have been in holding the mountains in place.

WHAT A WELCOMING ENTRANCE INTO OUR TOWN. BILL PALMER SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN APPOINTED TO THE COUNCIL. HE WAS A FLY BY NIGHT JUST LIKE THE DIRT PLANT, THE ROCK MESS WE LOOK AT AS WE TRAVEL TOWARD ALLISON GAP, THE LUMBER COMPANY, THE FISH PLANT, AND MOST OF ALL THE WAVE POOL BUILDER WHO LAUGHED ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK. MOST OF THE OF THE POOL WAS OUTDATED BEFORE WE GOT IT. SO HERE WE ARE AND OUR CHILDREN DEALING WITH ALL THE MESS OF THE FUTURE. PLEASE GOD HELP LEAD US IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

OUR TREES ARE GONE AND SO IS BILL PALMER. HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN APPOINTED TO THAT SEAT. HIS WIFE AND HER BALL ROOM DANCING. THEIR CHILDREN TOO GOOD FOR OUR SCHOOLS. I'M SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO HAVE FILLED THAT SEAT. EVERYONE THAT MOVES INTO OUR TOWN ACTS LIKE WE ARE STUPID AND WE ARE TO ALLOW SO SO MUCH TO HAPPEN.

i dont live there so its not up to me i just work there and i burn wood in the winter so i dont mind cuuting trees but i also do my part i have over 36 achers ive replanted in white and red oak and noone in thier right mind w an education is going stay here to long dumbass go vote yourself

Certain, fast growing trees will,not the slower growing types. Ill take 5 loads of oak for firewood though.

I think that cutting wood to burn to keep your family warm shouldn't even be considered the same as clearing a place of all the trees. When me and my husband cut wood, we cut around 3-5 trees, sometimes more, it just depends on the size of the tree. We also own property that we replant after we cut down. I prefer oak and walnut. They burn throught the night.

We went across 107 last night at dusk. Even in the darkness, you can still see the broken down trees. Why are they doing that to Saltville? 107 was one of the prettiest places full of "green scenery". Not anymore! Sad!
