Nothing ever changes in that town because even when someone that wins a position in the town hall has the best of intentions going in, they usually let their greed come shining through after awhile.

Maybe if the city wouldn't have sold it's most valuable resource to a private company from the start, this mess would have never happened. If people in Indy don't start getting real upset about this issue by pressing local officials for municipalization the problem will be the same with any company they sell the water to. At least if the city owns the water, citizens can demand change and vote on it. I don't know about anyone else, but I need water to live. Good water!! What will really hurt is when citizens have to choose water or....... I guess there really isn't anything more important besides air and food.
I'm out of the loop. The town sold it's water rights to a corporation? How, pray tell, did they do that?
If I don't live in the town limits, and I pay my water bill in Saltville, does that mean that they've sold me out, too? Since I'm not allowed to vote on who becomes a councilcreature, that would be some sort of 'taxation without representation', wouldn't it?

Looks like our beloved elected officials have set us up for huge water bills increases by contracting out the management of the system. Is there a way to impeach Vince Maiden and company?
How huge can a water bill be? Water bills have always been next to nothing. Quit whining a pay your bills. All you have to do is forego one six pack per month or a few packs of cancer sticks. Can you handle it?

I know families of three here in town paying
$ 80 - 90 / Month ! Water & Sewer
and this will continue to go up !

Point is ... now we have less control of our
resources.

We have a valuable resource - fresh water.
Some people are trucking in fresh water.
This resource is becoming more and more
valuable every day.

Also Veolia will pass along all those meter
reading fees and management fees along to us the
consumers.

The Town will ( evetually when they turn over
all ) miss out collecting these fees.

Nothing is FREE ...this council and educated
Vince the Dunce know it. Their votes bought with
barbeques, biscuits, jobs for family and other
favors.

I did not see any invitation for public input for
such an important issue.

Do we really want to do this ?

My water is running a good 90 bucks a month. You can't get ahead. As soon as you do they up it again. Sure ain't using the money to better the town or streets.

Outsourcing Town water treatment services.

Misguided and illinformed decision.

Hard to believe that Randall Brickey was the only
councilman with any forethought !

You idiots must go !

Vince, you are a pompus ass and you are selling this town
out for your personnal gain !

- Outsourcing the water treatment while getting your daddy a job,
accepting BBQ dinners, UT tickets and other favors !
- Sicing the DEQ on our water / sewer facilities, fines, further
burdening our citizens ( mostly senior on fixed incomes )

Guess you will get a big promotion at DEQ !
Makes me sick - I don't know how you sleep at night !

You underestimate the citizens that voted your fat ass in !

I'm calling your fat ass out !

F this s**t universe filled with festering blackness, and swarming with shallow, single-minded humans focused on crystallizing aspects of the material universe and putting it into their bank accounts, transmuting real experience into imaginary numbers, which then they ascribe to how good they’re doing, like some evil satanic score

When did we get months with 32 days on our water bills? Check your bills and see that they have been listing the time between readings is 32. I thought there was only 30 or 31 days in a calendar month. Another way of screwing the people.

Violea standard practice of estimating water usage
to save money reading meters. They actually read
the meter quarterly - then any difference from the
estimated monthly bill would be added to your
next monthly bill.

Problem is: If you have a leak - you may not detect
the leak until the meter is actually read.

Just wait until Violea takes over the billing !
They charge $5 per month to have the meter
actually read !

Did you BOZOS factor that into your cost savings ?
