Clay is the best muscian to come out of Saltville in a long time. I like his brother,s music to, we should be proud of them. I forgot to say Gov't Plant.

Clay Davidson is the best entertainer that ever hit Nashville. I think we will see a lot more of him in the future. He does need to be back in Nashville. We all love Clay and the Davidson's. They are all talented and are very loved in Saltville

I think he sounds like shit! He may be able to play music, but he sure as hell can't sing.
Just because people know he's from Saltville they think he is a big star. What a crock. People forget that he had 1 hit and the only reason that people think he can sing so good is only music magic. Hell, if I had someone doing music magic for me, I could sing too...and trust me I can't sing a note.
The difference between he and I is that I know that I can't sing, still waitin on Clay to figure that one out.
OHHH, I know I'm pissin some people off, and I don't really give a damn, but think about it people do you really think he can sing, or is it because you want to say "Hey, I know him he's from Satlville" if he ever makes it REALLY big. Try to remember also, that he never claimed to be from Satlville when he WAS in Nashville. He was ashamed.

He may or may not be a decent man, I don't personally know him. Being decent or not is not the point here, what is the point is his ability to entertain the public. So how should his skills be judged, well they should be judged by the public. Therefore, how many number one hits has he had? Zero. How many music awards has he won? Zero. How many gold records does he have? Zero. How many nation wide tours has he headlined? Zero. I think his stats speak for themselves, and chances are if he's not made it by now that he's 40 years old, he'll likely never make it.

I've heard him play aucoustic and he is a great singer. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I heard him without the "music magic" and still thought he was awesome. I don't care where he is from, what mistakes he has made, the point is he sings great. None of us are perfect.

Saltville is full of "GREAT" muscians! But I can't say that he is the best that ever come from this town. He made a good record, he is a great entertainer but they have been people before from Saltville that cut some "GREAT" albums that didn't have the money behind them that Clay had. Larry Delp would be one that comes to my mind. He's a "GREAT" song writer, and guitarist. Does anybody remeber the "Plum Creek Outlaws"? That was Mike Griffey and some of his family. They recorded a couple of pretty good albums.

Clay is great he had a few things happen in his life, he won Charlie Daniles talent show on tv, and he did make a record, and he did make it to nashville, can any of you say that, nooo so dont down the man, he tried, and is still trying, he will be back on top, is he the greatest from Saltville, well I think so, but thats just my opinion, and im sure some of you will think that the royal flush was great, but they never mad a record with a nashville record company, and by the way, dont forget, Ozzy Roberts with the Mack Wiseman band

"Yes", I remember going to the street dances to listen to Moose Miller and the Elk Club that was from the Government Plant. These was also the good times of the '70's. Afer a while they were head-lining at the Sea Horse in Johnson City, were they changed the name of the band to "Outpost". If we could turn back time, this would be such a "GRAND ILLUSION".

Thanks also wrathchild3777...for the memory of my son, James Gironda...It melted my heart to know that someone other than myself has him in their memory. It was so very hard when he left me..but I am so pleased to know that his memory goes on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him as I did. Again..bless you...
