If I were Wayne Carter I would try my best to find out who started this survey and bring charges if possible. This is totally uncalled for. For the record I have no connection to either Wayne Carter or the upward basketball program.

Let me clarify that comment. I am proud of Wayne for starting UPWARD. This is something our kids and our community needs. To down such a program takes a pretty sick individual!!

its a shame it has come to this but he brought it on him slef they did not have to do the program at the same time as little league then the kids would have and something to do intill softball and baseball started in the spring but when you do something in spite it comes back to bite you in the ass thats all i have to say about that so put that in your pipe and smoke it

it was all over some photos that some one got under bid on in baseball-softball season Mr Carters wife and Mrs. Frye was under bid on it and this is how thay came back on the Little League it may have had something to do with basketball last year I think if you want the kids to keep busy it would not have hurt to start it at the end of little league season, so you must be a Carter suck a$$, looks like you need to go to upward bound with you mouth bubba, yes it should be for the kids so why do this program now, someone should not
have put on this poll, but if need be money can have it removed... just like the other one

so it was started out of spite then. i had not heard about that part. is that what everybody is upset about? yeah i shouldn't have pulled out g.d. i got a little excited. no i don't suck anybody's 4ss. wayne has been a long time friend of mine. thanks for filling me in on the other side of the story. did not mean to offend you

Everybody knows that the Little league has played ball in the fall for about 15 years now, so you tell me what dose it look like to you. A good christan would try to work it out with both Leagues. That is how I see it.....

the more info. i get i can see why people are mad. when is the little league supposed to be finished.i would say january. then upward could have run jan. to march. then baseball and softball would be about ready to start. that seems like it could have worked out to give the kids something to do year round or until the pool opens.

No but when Mr Campbell gets your URL address in court then there will be no more hiding behind a computer.

Also, Mr. Carter has talked about starting this UPWARD program for three years now. How humorous it is to say it was started in spite. In spite of what? No one playing UPWARD is bashing the little league program. All I will say is that I wish them both the best!!

Listen people, I think this is crazy. Anybody, who is anybody knows that we never get started on time with basketball. The kids don't get uniforms and when they do they are wrong. So little league usually doesn't finish up until Feb.

As so for Mr. Carter starting this for spite. His is not that type of person. And Mitzi and Angel don't need the business of the little league pictures, so I don't beleive this is true.

Carol knew ahead of time about this Upward and seemed to be fine with it. She was old when it would be finished. She told people how she would see how upward would go and then start little league a lit bit later. So she has brought this on herself.

Just to know, I would love to see about the audit that was suppose to be done. From what I heard they aren't doing it. I would like to know.

I wish people would leave the Carter's alone and just enjoy a wonderful thing that is happening with this program. The kids are having fun and learning. And if anyone of you would come to a practice, you would see how many people are there to help out and the organization in this program.

What's done is done. Everyone needs to get over this and move on. It may be a benefit to both programs. I have heard that the LL will be playing teams oustside of Saltville, so this will be nice. Also, most of the players with the most ability are in upperbound, and this gives the less athletic players with the LL more play time and the coaches will work with them more since that is all they have. Its a win, win situation.

Sounds like you may have been at the board meeting when the book was handed over for the audit and no one said any thing about the Little League starting later at that meeting, and they where to be there to vote but did not show. We all know when Little League Basketball is going on. O well it sounds like spite to me.

this poll is juvenile even for topix...most polls(real onesanyway) have a positive and a negative point of view not just name calling
