Actually, the correct spelling is "caustic". Kudos however, for even knowing that the word caustic exists in the first place. In Saltsburg, being able to articulate a complete sentence without the use of slang, profanity, or totally butchering the English language all together, is considered a monumental skill.

Is this seriously the best thing that our 'role models' have to do during the day while we're in school? And you wonder why us Saltsburg kids get labeled as druggies and lazy losers. That's all the parents are, and it falls directly to the children that inhabit the rest of my school. Thanks guys, keep up the extremely productive topix gossip forums. You're teaching us well!

I don't know if you're speaking in reference to me or not, but I'm not a parent of a Saltsburg child. As for labeling kids as lazy druggies, well.....let's face it. The majority of teenagers are self-righteous lazy brats. You're generally obnoxious, rude, and incredibly lazy. The majority of you (who are lucky enough to not be genetically predisposed to obesity) maintain your physiques thanks to the fact that your metabolisms and and hormones are at their peaks. That's why you can eat pizza and chips, lay on the couch half the day, and still look like you do P90X. Enjoy it while it lasts, because once you hit 20, it all starts to go downhill.

I don't agree with anyone labeling any young person as a "loser", however. Saltsburg Elementary and Jr/Sr High School is chalk full of teachers who seem to put more emphasis on social engineering than education, and they get their rocks off by ostracizing certain students, and building up others. Usually the end real-life results of their predictions are completely opposite.

Well, I am glad to see that you're doing so well with your life that you can waste your time on this website, arguing with teenagers on every post concerning Saltsburg. How's your trailer and your 1989 Oldsmobile?

The Oldsmobile is running pretty well. Last week I had to replace the alternator, but other than that everything's ok with it. The trailer's been holding up too, but with all this rain I've noticed a few leaks in the roof. I better fix them before winter.

The principal's name (of the middle/high school) is Kostic. I believe CAUSTIC is more appropriate because he is a hot head. Tee hee hee.

I didn't know that was his name. I went to a few different high schools, and during that time I thought every one of my principals were hot heads too. As an adult, I've dealt with two of them socially. It wasn't until then when it dawned on me that I'd never actually "met" them when I was in school....I met a character they were portraying.

Trust me when I say that it's all an act. When a principal yells at a kid, they're really not actually angry. It's part of their job description to act that way....otherwise they're not doing their job. They may care about their students, but it's only to a certain extent. They act like they take it personally, but they really don't.

Both of my former principals who I've gotten to know couldn't be more opposite in real-life than they were when I was in high school. The contrast is unbelievable.
