what's up with the murphy murders>?
haven't heard much for a while

and you wont,it cannot be solved.anytime a crime stopper reward is offered that means they have hit a dead end.thou it has been said in a trib. article it is there top priority to solve this crime,but there isnt enuff evidence to arrest any one...remember the hunter who was killed from a shot gun blast during past hunting season? never solved either.how said for these family's and community.

Very sad, very odd. If this were an episode of CSI Saltsburg they would have closed both cases in less than a hour.

I think it's odd how everyone on this site has everything to say about everything, but when it comes to this case, everyone is silent. Maybe they're scared.

I wonder what was the alibi for the "employee" that pointed the finger towards owner? Where was he during the time of the murders?

S-burg is known for its small town gossip and the rumors are surely flying around....but it is sad and scary to think that a local murderer is still roaming out there knowning the evidence isn't enough to arrest him.

no,its just strange that a hunter in the general area was shot with a shotgun and no one was ever arrested,and i dont think anyone is afraid to talk about this tragedy. The timeline of these murders coincides with the Muffey drug arrest. Also, has anyone read or heard any news about the alleged Provias' arrest a few weeks following the Murphy murders? The Provias' were allegedly seen being handcuffed and taken away by the State Police. Something big is brewing!

Muffey was arrested for drugs, when? Was it in the newspaper?

Coincides? What does that mean? Muffie was arrested on April 22rd, released on April 23rd, after posting $100,000 straight bail. The Murphy women were killed on April 23rd. Was there any other connection?

Do you honestly think that this was a hit gone wrong,lets think for a minute? some person{s}walked into a glass business to take out a supposed drug dealer and see's three lady's 2 which are older and whackes them out??? OMG,No i dont think so please stop w this nonsense.if a hitman walked in there and saw those older ladies he would of made an excuse and left he or she wouldnt of done this, so they saw his or her face if they didnt do anything no one would of suspected anything,oh and lets not forget they wouldnt of brought there own guns??? come on.i dont know who did this horrible thing but whats more horrible is placeing blame on another family who by coincedence had something happen to them.one of the employees ,owner{s}could of told anyone about the gun being there,and as many junkies and thieves that have polluted this area could of been a robbery gone terribly wrong.those brave woman fought back and lost there lives for something we may never know.the murphys and muffies have been through enough.
