Shop-n-Save is ugly

Shop-n-Save is a nice, friendly little townie store I guess. But the building (at least the front) needs a face lift. It's ugly and out-dated. It's 70's style, and the 70's sucked. When I drive past it, I can almost hear the disco music. Something should be done about this. Who are the owners? If people in Saltsburg really wanna make a difference in their town's appearance, they should petition the owners to do some exterior renovations. After all, it is right in the middle of town on Salt Street.

Don't know about all the banter, but would like to comment on the exterior of the Shop & Save, too. It sure makes the town look "sad". I don't know who the owners are, but a petition would be a great idea to get started. I drive through your little town every day on my way to Pgh., and some of the more renovated ones are nice. Who is Cameo Store owned by?Could use some paint, cute town, but so much of it needs a good paint job. In some small communities, there is actually a limit as to how long buildings and homes can go unpainted, and left to decay. Some of those buildings in "old" downtown are really just an eyesore. What's with that large old building close to the river with the absent roof? What a dive!!! Why not start a "Paint the Town" contest, and get everyone on board to spruce up the town?

And if you think the outsides bad go inside how sad he robs you with all the prices on everything you are better off going some were else even after you put gas in your vehicle plus by groceries you will still have extra money.

Wish they move the Shop'n'Save and the drugstore up to the field by Dollar General. Backing out of the grocery's parking lot onto the street is weird, dangerous, and illegal. And crossing that intersection to the drugstore .... I can't imagine being elderly and trying to make it without getting splattered!

Better yet, why can't we have a SuperWalmart in that field? Save runnin' 20 miles to Indiana or Delmont.

A Wallmart in Saltsburg? Funny. Why the heck would anyone build a store in Saltsburg? OK, so they may want to move to an area with more shoplifters than shoppers. NOT!

Move the Shop and Save and Drugstore to the field? With what, Chops' scooter? Look around dreamer there ain't much happening in Saltsburg, zero growth and a falling tax base.

Backing out of Shop and Save illegal? Wrong again gam-ma. Salt Street is not a state road.

At least Shop and save windows are not made from plywood like the stores in downtown Blairsville. The downtown blairsville group is going to improve the downtown with 3 million dollars of state taxpayers money.My suggestion return 2.9 million to the bankrupt state, paint the plywood and lower the borough real estate taxes, then maybe some business will locate in the Blairsville portion of 22.
