Borrego sculptures bring desert history to life
When most people travel to the local desert, it's to see the beautiful wildflowers or gaze at the stars.

I think they're ugly as sin. Almost the last thing I wanted to see driving into town on the FORMERLY scenic road...
Only thing worse would be if someone started a MacDonalds or Burger King franchise in town. In the meantime?
Those metal beasts are a travesty. Tear them down and stop insulting the natural view. My guess is that some room temp IQ REPUBLICAN put those awful statues there. I mean who else could have such bad taste and be so thoughtless and stupid?

Actually I kind of like them , it adds a little amusement for the kids and provides interesting photo ops. These sculptures are throughout the town and on the fringes NOT in the Anza Borrego Park itself. There are 100's of sq miles in either direction to see the desert in its natural beauty! Remember these sculptures are within the very small township and offers something else unique for tourists.
