48 and retired? This is what's wrong with public employees unions and the strain being put on taxpayers to meet these obligations. Now, this 48 year old "retired" chief will get his retirement and be paid by Park City... the ultimate double dip on the taxpayer!

I'm guessing his salary and retirement will easily total $250,000/year.

The fact that Park City couldn't find an equally qualified candidate among their ranks speaks volumes about the lack of management skills and the incompetence of City Hall!

City Hall has nothing to do with the independant PC Fire District. That split happened 30 years ago.

Too bad he can't tripple dip. Just to further upset the drug addicts on this forum.

Kelly Gee is a good man. City Hall had nothing to do with it. The system is what the system is. Note the "Park City Resident" is from St. George. The PC Fire District is an outstanding organization thanks, in part, to Kelly Gee.

PCFD actually saves money by hiring a retired Fire Chief. Utah law doesn't allow an organization to pay into a retiree's benefit. Also, what a retired Chief will accept in salary if often lower because he receives a pension. $250K...think again.
