Teen Impaled by Fence Pole after Auto Accident

A 19-year-old man was severely injured Tuesday after his SUV was broadsided in an intersection, sending a chainlink fence pole into teen's thigh after the vehicle rolled.

This article is ridiculous.

"The pole also saved Bullock's life because it pierced his femoral artery and if the pole had not been there, doctors said he would have bled to death."

Umm, let's think about this! If the pole HADN'T been there his leg would not have been pierced and he wouldn't have his femoral artery slashed!

I was thinking the EXACT same thing! I'm thinking - no pole in my leg...good. Pole in my leg...bad. I think a more correct way to word the article would be that the pole saved Bullock's life because after it pierced his femoral artery, the pole remained in his leg thus resulting in him not bleeding to death.

The tree saved my life by holding the truck in the exact position where I was impaled.*everybody plant a tree*

The accident took place on Monday, not Tuesday.

The point of the comment "the way I moved caused it to impale my leg" was that if I hadn't moved the way I did it would have gone through my abdomen.

I was trapped in the car for 2 hours and 20 minutes... not 45.

Just to clear things up :)
