Home schoolers are in the same league as the people who chain their big ole' mean dog to a tree behind the house trailer. The animal would love to have a normal life of association with all dogs other than those tried out back of their trailers too so when the moment comes, they either make a break for freedom or remain a slave to the warped political issues of the owners.

And you spout this with all the authority of your extensive research into outcomes for homeschooled kids, right?
Oh wait, no...because research says the exact opposite. "Mainstream" doesn't equal "normal". In fact, since the existence of human beings, a "normal" life has been that of a typical homeschooler, educated at home, with parents & siblings & perhaps some neighbors or relatives. I suppose you think the kids today vary dramatically from an evolutionary perspective than did humans 100 yrs ago. Did mainstream school teach you that too?
And I have no idea what trailer park you live in that people keep their dogs chained out back due to warped political issues, but it sounds fascinating. I had no idea such things went on. Do explain please. I need enlightening, clearly. By the sounds of it so do you,, but on different subjects of course. So ...fill me in on your trailer park & I'll give you the actual facts on homeschooling. I've never lived in a trailer park, so start from the basics for me if you can.
And as a start, I'll go first:
"A common worry is that children who are home-schooled will not be socialized, but Murphy found that most of these students have very rich social networks. Academically, he says, it is more difficult to get answers, although statistically, as many home-schooled students attend college as their traditional public school peers.
“Homeschool students are successful and they don’t perform worse than other students or seem to be disadvantaged in any way,” Murphy said.“If you have one teacher dedicated to one or two children, it’s a success equation, and so it doesn’t surprise me [homeschooling] works.”"

There are actually entire studies & whole books you can read on the subject, but why get informed on an issue BEFORE commenting? That's a crazy concept. Again, I am sure public schools probably educated you on the fact that you need not actually be informed on a subject whatsoever to spout off about it as if you are an expert.
