Have you read the Talmud, or others?
You seem to think the OTHERS are not even worth MENTIONING!
Oh a Syrian priest wrote something that said Cain's FACE was blackened by coal. So you run to it like you lost your mind yelling and arguing for months on end!
Many OTHER equally old and older, EQUALLY prominent and more so opinions by Rabbis, Priests and such, they make various OTHER and MORE sensible ideas about the mark...
and you just don't CARE!
Same with the Egyptians. The Egyptians were one of MANY black groups. They enslaved Nubians ALSO! So them enslaving Hebrews has no bearing on this on a racial level.
But then you make a false statement and RUN with it:
"Since at LEAST 2,000 years ago men believed being given dark skin and african features rather than asian ones were a good way to ensure he remained unable to re-admit himself among his tribesmen."
Since at least 2000 years ago? No....
African FEATURES? No...(because there are dark skinned people with VARIOUS features).
MEN believed? No, you forgot to put the word "some" or "a few".
The point is, you try to push the notion this was a widely accepted view 2000 years ago. You try to act like this was the default or common view 2000 years ago.
You know why?
because you want to legitimize the common view among Whites 200 years ago, INCLUDING Mormons!
It's like, if you can convince us that they were believing it 2000 years ago, then it makes the Mormon thing ok!
but that's NOT what was going on 2000 years ago!
And you keep showing references and what not? But they go back substantially LESS than 2000 years ago, and they are ISOLATED postulations that do not refer to his race, only a vague notion about his color (of his face, or his countenance??).
The crap didn't start taking off until Islam got their hands on the Bible. They were on an anti-black racist binge.
Everybody's "that guy" to you. It's all just "a guy."
That's the problem with the stupid: perspective is non existent.
Your problem is the same problem every black person has :
black people do your thinking for you.
The Egyptians: blacks,
enslaved the children of Israel.
Cain, who wanted to rule over his brother,
was cast out of his brethren's company through instruction from God: historical law coming from Him necessitates people being separated out from the tribe for MANY reasons, crime being one.
Cain, who was afraid because he thought he might be killed, was given a mark. It had to make his life easier somehow.
Since at LEAST 2,000 years ago men believed being given dark skin and african features rather than asian ones were a good way to ensure he remained unable to re-admit himself among his tribesmen.
You know precisely why people believe Cain was given dark skin and african features: so he would fit into the group of people God wanted him to be among.
God knew Africans would have their histories fall to a persistent association with instability: with the earth not yielding up her strength to them when they sowed.
He knew he must make an example of Cain. He knew the upcoming history of the Africans.
Why would he not make Cain disseminate his seed, where troubles and instability would be an international trademark for eons?
And after you manic magpie your way past that, there's still the entire Syriac traditions and, there's the revelations to the Mormons from God.
They aren't Jews who believed Cain was black for 2,000 years.
They aren't Syriac Christians.
They aren't Muslims.
They had a revelation of their own, that said there was going to be a black skin and loathesome appearance attached to some people of a region where,
there were a lot of black people found living who, to this day, dwell in atrocious ghetto countries ruled by violence and pure evil.
