Sallisaw Chamber Not Worth Anything

Why is it companies are going in elsewhere to build? There are hundreds of companies that need to be right off the interstate to conduct their business. Our chamber has not been doing their job at recruiting companies.
Read this article about a metal company who needs to be on the I-40 corridor... where are they going to build? Fort Chaffee..... which is 30 miles from I-40... Why cant Sallisaw get companies like this or any other company for that matter to come to sallisaw?
Here's the article. It explains how Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce and Chaffee Crossing Development RECRUITED them to build there.
Thank you sallisaw chamber for all you do!

Acdording to the news story you link to...
“Phoenix Metals has been looking to add a service center somewhere along the I-40 corridor from Russellville to Tulsa...”
Chaffee Crossing is only 12 miles from I-40, not 30, and I believe it is in the path of an upcoming interstate highway.
Tulsa is not along the I-40 corridor. It is 50 miles from Tulsa to I-40 via Henryetta and 75 miles via Webbers Falls so I doubt that proximity to the mother road was of utmost concern.
When you consider all locations along this so-called “I-40 corridor” as potential site locations, you must also consider cities such as Broken Arrow, Coweta, Fort Gibson, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Henryetta, Van Buren, Alma, and Clarksville to be failures in their pursuit to land this business as well. But that is only if these cities knew about this company's quest for a new site and made proposals to lure them to their front door.
Did the company advertise their desire to expand in some regional publications, send out flyers announcing their intentions to all cities along this corridor, or in any way contact every chamber of commerce along this path?
Maybe they did announce and the chamber chose not pursue the opportunity. Maybe the chamber made a proposal but was shut out by the winning party. I believe the Chaffee area would have a greater advantage in terms of economic incentives and potential workforce.
Unless you know for sure how the site was announced and chosen, how can you unequivocally insinuate that the Sallisaw chamber failed?

Well considering the city hasn't grown with new business in how long? I'd say that's a fail
