Hahahahaha!!!!!! Now that's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Did he retire from Ohp? I think he should run!

I'm the king Ding-a-Ling in this county, I'll investigate him and get myself on TV....hehehe

Now I'd vote for him. He's had thirty years worth of law-enforcement experience. He's a nice guy! I have never seen him stand in public and put someone down to the point they wanted kill their self!~ He's a lot better then what we got! Even if this is a joke post!

Word is he is thinking about retiring later this year. He's got my vote - hope to see his name on the ballot.

Bill James is too wimpy and too much of a sissy to be sheriff. It is one thing to sit and drive around in a patrol car and hand out tickets but when we need someone to arrest the bad boys we don't need a wimp trying to do a man's job and Bill James is a wimp.

wimp... Apparently you didn't live here or most likely not even born back in the 80's and early 90's when he was working the street! Bill was and still is a BADASS and will get the job done when it comes to arresting people...

It's not for sheriff its for Chief of Police for Sallisaw. Thank god, we need an experienced person. Leading our city police department.

I'm not sure why someone with his experience and background would want the Chief's job but he sure has my vote if he will run !

Maybe he can see the lack of leadership in that office. Surely James wouldn't be driving his family around a two state area in a city owned vehicle using city gas..

What you said is true. If the citizens wants a chief who continues to abuse the use of city property and waste tax money on himself, yes he could be re-elected!

I would seriously like to hear you say that to his face. You're probably one of the biggest two faced kiss ups this town has. If you want to jump Edwards for driving his family around in a city vehicle (which isn't against any rule at all), then you'll have to jump on every other cop in Sallisaw as well for doing the exact same thing. And whoever Gary is, probably Gary Philpot the man Shaloa beat 7 years ago? I don't think Edwards is doing anything wrong, and if you ask me I don't think anyone will be able to beat him.

Is this Gary Philpot? Well... At least he isn't helping his family get away with selling drugs. Talk about a bad Chief of Police..

Funny... I can't remember the last time I rode in my fathers city owned Tahoe. I've probably rode in it 2 times since he's got it. But I guess although I see him everyday, you all know more than I do, right?

So when you was riding in the City Owned Vehicle using city fuel, was it official City Business or for his personal use.
