The educational rats are abandoning the sinking ships that are America's urban schools. Good riddance to bad trash.
Is Joe Clark available?

Nah, he's waiting to get the Parkland job. The only bad thing about him is his penchant for infecting the Parkland district with his east side buddies, whom he hires time after time.

With a lot of luck, the Superintendent from Catasauqua will go to Allentown or Bethlehem.

what a hopeless job she is leaving. seriously, who could be successful with that district? who would really want that job? unfortunately, you can't be a "joe clark" any more...too litigious of a society. but that's what they need.

What the heck is going on with the School District Consolidation Plan? Remember the one that will trim PA school districts from 500 to 100? Maybe this will become the new trend? By resigning they keep all their benefits & pension? By becoming a casualty & thus their job is eliminated wouldn’t that leave them high & dry?
TOO much to wonder about we do need more information.

This announcement is good for ASD. The bad news is that the misery continues for another year. Surely at that time there will be a massive property tax increase. It was a surprise that our mayor will be given a salary increase so large it reaches over one hundred thousand dollars per year. Then came the salary of the ASD superintendent. Awesome! Makes one wonder how the Board of Education made up of unpaid amateur volunteers holds responsibility for the actions of the superintendent. The big question is who works for who. Crime in the school system is a serious problem. This same superintendent who publicly announced immunity from prosecution over the cover up raping of first graders. The concept of assimilation gets set aside for the comfort of non-native English speakers who because of convenience are given bilingual education. Entrenched bureaucracy and we have to wait one more year. How many bureaucratic departments in ASD and what sort of salaries are paid to the directors?
I hope the Board does NOT find overeducated professionals who negate responsibility for self-interest. Look to people like Charles Snelling or Charles Versaggi. Highly intelligent people who show genuine concern for our community. Our children deserve the best and that is something long in coming.

I willing to bet that Mack Truck ceases to be a publicly traded company and had management team incapable of thinking global expansion while they themselves were gobbled up.

As for Superintendent, we are due for a male. Diane Scott and Karen Angello were lightweights in a heavyweight fight.
