Absolutely sickening and that's what "transgenderism" is... a sickness! These people need lots of prayers.

I cannot imagine what these brave folks feel like. Being born into a body that doesn't feel like your own. Being of one gender and feeling of another. The two transgender people I have known somehow emerged as healthy and productive citizens. I salute their willingness to come forth and talk about their experiences. I shake my head in disbelief at those who fear and loathe them.

Sad part about it though is he has two daughters, one 13, the other 21, and it is tearing them all to hell.

God made you, He made you male and female!
God forgive you for the sin you commit when you hide behind what He made and distort it to suit your misplaced mind.
Come to Him and He will forgive you, as He does us all.

I had never encountered this either until moving to Asheville. I have to say, I have several trangendered friends now and I find them to be some of the most intelligent, articulate, self-aware individuals I have ever known. Imagine how it must be to truly feel as if you are trapped in the wrong body. These people pursue a road to self realization that is harder than I can fathom. They deserve our respect and support...not judgement. Until you have walked in someone's shoes (dare I say high heels LOL!), don't pass judgement.

Sadly, the ignorant have spoken again. Try and show a little intelligence and maybe you will learn something.
And no, thumping your bible won't solve the issue here. Just let it go and live your life,'k bubba?

I love the way my hometown has given in to weirdos that are confused about their DNA. Sometimes I feel like I am trapped inside myself. I remember growing up and eating Cheetos and thinking "Am I a Cheeto?" After moving from somewhere else (like everyone does here), I realized...I AM A CHEETO. I have since begun covering myself with cheese power and oil. I do have trouble breathing inside the plastic bag I live in though...I love Asheville, I haven't found another Cheeto yet, but its only a matter of time...

What a bunch of judgemental phobes posting here! I really don't know what your spreads your hatred except lack of knowledge. For those of you living in Bible land, where is it stated in the Bible that transgender is wrong? Bet you can't find it! For those saying that these people need serious pychological help, that is exactly what they get in order to come to terms with what is going on inside themselves. For those comparing transgenderism to pedophiles, there is absolutley NO link, nada, zip, zilch. These folks live full, productive lives, pay taxes, go to church, have boyfriends, girlfriends, get married, just like some of you.
Oh, and Mr. Cheeto, GOOD LUCK! You need it because you really are the crazy one here!

There are far more of us here than just those. Phoenix Transgender Support has been active in Asheville now for over 21 years. We live here, we pay taxes, we work, we play, we express our faith and we live our lives just like anyone else. We're people and we deserve to be treated with the same respect as anyone else.

Nice to know there are some folks out there who don't automatically hate what they don't understand.
