New Target/Home Depot coming to Salisbury?

Since this was kinda/sorta announced in the Post a few months back, there's been nothing in the way of news so far as talks of starting up development of the acres of land purchased across from the Harris Teeter area and next to the Wilco/Hess on Jake Alexander. Has ANYONE heard anything about when this is going to happen or even IF it'll ever happen now?

I heard it was at the corner of Klumac and Julian Rd. There is a place going up called Wallace Commons. I was told that is where all big stores will be.

I believe at the corner of Klumac and Julian Rd (off 85) there's going to be a Kohl's. I haven't heard anything else about the Target but I hope we get one!:)

Actually I heard (some time back) that in the area across from Harris Teeter and Brenner, a development would be going in that would include Target.

Home Depot, for now, is on hold.

It's too bad that the old Wal-mart on Jake Alexander Blvd (now Magic Mart i think) never became a Target. It would be really benificial for Target to come to Salisbury

I keep hearing the same rumor that basically the Target coming to the Harris Teeter side of town in Salisbury is a 'done deal', but it must be a bunch of red tape holding it up.

It is sad that towns all around us are growing and we as Rowan county citizens are supportng them. We have been at a stand still for a very long time. You have to drive out of town to buy anything and everything that you need. Wal mart can charge whatever they want because they have no competition.
