I had to really laugh at this article. First off, The Quiet Resorts and even the Rehoboth Beach area is more family oriented then Ocean City, Maryland. I've been coming to this area since 1999 and moved to the Bethany Beach area in 2004. I have four children for which two are in high school. I know of parents who allowed their 16 yr olds to come down during spring break in 2006 with no adult supervision, that would never happen in my home. Second, I love the Bethany area cause during the season you see family's actually together doing things, the children with their parents. However when you drive into Ocean City the kids are going one way while the parents are going the other. If you think your children aren't aware of these items then you must still be living in the stone age. I find nothing wrong with the shop as they will meet many adults needs, they are only opening it to adults. It is also true the kids can go into Spencer gifts which are at most all large malls and see just as much. Wake up Ocean City there is nothing wrong with SEX and if you teach your children the difference between casual sex and enjoyable sex or love making with a loved one they will undertand and have the same beliefs you do. It's the ones who make it out to be so dirty that have the problems with their children ending up pregnant before they are ready. Enough said, I think I've made my point and I bet about 95% of the people will agree.

Yha Bha Dha Bha Doo, skippy canoe and tyler too. And with the price of eggs going up each and everyday, how can anyone afford bacon? The schlitz is the drizzle, and without bacon and eggs, then summer can't be to far behind. And did anyone see the henweigh on the side of the road on route 13 south just outside Dover? And gas goes into a car to allow it to run. And yet gas runs out of humans? And I checked with the department of percents. And no one in this country agrees on anything at the rate of 95%. And as far as oc md? if one can not find good in oc md, then one will find good nowhere on earth. next stop? ok, that'll be ....

would that be sugar cain? raisen cane comes in a little box, much like that of yum yums. be that as it may and then again too, to end a sentence with a thereof, just cracks me up! if oc does not want it, therefore and thereof and add whatever there so be it also, it shall be. to be or not to be? and last time anyone checked, there are very many as was stated, "jerks" in the world. if that shall be the worse used to describe anyone? well that is not all that bad. oc has been around a very long time, and will continue to do so. time is the true measure of being considered great. nothing stays around for long if it is not doing well as they say, "in the long run."

ah, the inner web and everyones' thoughts! such a wonderful place to be. adults stores are for adults! kidz r us is for kidz right? dollar stores are for dollars right? hair cuttery is for cuttin hair right? all you can eat food places are for all you can eaters right? so if oc wants it, fine. if not? that is fine also. they already have a hooters! one of the finest boardwalks anywhere! good nite life, golf, fish, walk, run, breath the fresh air, and just enjoy all that the powers that be have to offer each and every living soul on gods green earth. Now, don't you just feel better reading this? good. misunderstandings can be found in all, but to look for the good, that is why skate boards have four wheels, and not one, or two. think about it.

weed? No! That would fall under the smoking ban being planned in md. adult entertainment in oc is the question at hand. the good people of oc will be the ones' that will either allow it to make it or not. much like any other business that trys' to make a go of it, people will either buy into it to make it work as a business, or it shall fail. location location location dictates all business, no matter what they offer.

oc has come along way over the years. the past twenty years in particular. the growth is reaching a point of having to be put on a leash. still one of the best family spots on the east coast. beaches are outstanding, boardwalk second to none, and even when the city is full of visitors, one can get from point a to point b in a resonable amount of time overall. so many choices on the food selection! the bus for the masses is a wonderful idea. one of cleanest tourist spots that anyone can find anywhere. keep Trump & Wynn out of oc, and all will be well for many years to come.

oh its full of visitors all right. out of staters who come to party, get drunk and fall off balconies. its a good family spot if you dont care about what your family is exposed to and personal safety. when was the last time you took your family to an adult book store? gee, sounds like good ole family fun to me.

Wow, I put in a blog in regards to the new Adult Store opening up in OC and I really don't get a response on how anyone truly feels. We've gone from:
1) Yha Bha Dha Bha Doo, skippy canoe and tyler too. And with the price of eggs going up each and everyday, how can anyone afford bacon? The schlitz is the drizzle, and without bacon and eggs....
2) People being called jerks for voicing their opinions....
3) To Sugar Cain
4) The Delaware Lottery
5) Price of cigarettes and gas
6) When Hell freezes over

So now I put this comment in to find out how people feel about the Adult Store opening up in Ocean City, Maryland, nothing more and nothing less. Have your coffee and wake up before actually trying to type on the net so you sound somewhat intelligent. Let's keep in mind "Opinions are like assholes" everybody has one.

Thank You!

we go all the time to oc. have been doing so for over 20years now. lets' see, both former children of ours, now young adults are in their 20s'. they too go to oc with their families and friends several times a year. they have yet fallen off any balconies. I am sure that any time you put 200,000 plus people into any one area at any given time, there may be some issues, no matter what the circumstances. and again the point will be made by the people of oc. it is their town. having spent a week in salsbury one night, I can unerstand your outlook on the overall landscape of the world, and why the misunderstandings are perceived. however, reasonable adults can see things as they really are, and handle it as such. and here we are, some twenty plus years later, still looking forward to going to oc again with our now larger family and friends. you must enjoy life while you can. blink and you miss it. otherwise, you'd think you might be in salsbury.

sorry philly guy. missed your last installment. as for oc and adult stores in that wonderful little town? it is up to the town of oc isn't it? if they want it fine. if not, fine too. but change does not always happen quickly. how long did it take of pa to allow beer to be sold on sundays? and for, "state stores" to sell booze? i am old enough to remember that in pa, up until the mid to late 1960's, no stores whatsoever were open on sundays. none. blue laws they called it. for whatever reason, it was felt that sundays were not meant for stores to be opened. funny how now, if not open on sundays, your losing money. then how does a chik fil do it? i am sure they are still making a profit. but the owner has made it clear, that this is what works for them. and just how many adult book stores are around your home? being from sw philly myself years ago, lets' see... 61st & passyunk is a wonderful corner of all kind of activity that i am sure that the city of phila should build a playground near.

and somewhere earlier you stated children not being ready to be pregnant. as far as that point, i know of no children who are ready to be pregnant.
children having children is a very real problem in this country. many a parent has done all they can for their children, and yet, for whatever the reason, it does not always work out the way the parent had thought. so back to oc. started going there 20plus years ago. haven't been back to the jersey shore since. oc has worked for our family and still does. adult bood stores or not.

"Metoo" is correct once again! having checked recent news in the Salisbury area, this is what was reported. Largest drug bust in the county, man was not from pa. Student from salisbury. Coach attacks another coach. not from pa. salisbury. Wind farms coming to Rehoboth De. Not Salisbury. But metoo from salisbury can help those farms. And over twenty dui arrests with home address of salisbury. Yet again, facts mean little if anything. salisbury is a wonderful little town. And as you stated before, you have been to many places. Pocomoke City, Hebron, Fruitland, Sandy Point, Waycroft, Nottingham, all great little places. and of course they have nothing to do with the original adult book store in oc premise. keep'em coming, really does not matter. just keep LMAO when i read whatever it is that spews forth, & coworkers get a kick out of it too. and oh - with adult bookstore or not, oc rocks. long live channel 47!

i could do this all day long and still wouldn't make a dent. you sure you wanna compare cities? LMAO
just because you are limited in your travels,(glad you memorized or mapquest the little towns or your route to oc.), doesnt mean everyone is old fart.

people from pa. are rude, arrogant and obnoxious just to name a few. i expect no less from you.

Walczak acknowledged that Hazleton, a city of about 30,000, has endured an increase in violent crime, but he said illegal immigrants were responsible for only a few of the 428 rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults and homicides committed in the city from 2001 to 2006.

YORK, Pa.- York police have arrested two men in connection with a drive by shooting in York city this week. Iziah Gaines III, 15, of York was arrested Friday evening.

Gaines was charged as an adult with two counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Police also arrested 16-year-old Ja'Bree Ly-vonn Williams of York.

PHILADELPHIA - At least two people were killed and five others wounded in a flurry of shootings in Philadelphia around dinnertime Sunday, authorities said. Four minors were among those who were struck by bullets.

Shots rang out at about 5 p.m. in the Kingsessing neighborhood, and homicide investigators were soon called to the area of Pentridge Street and Cobbs Creek Parkway.

There, a 39-year-old woman was slain and a 41-year-old man was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania extremely critical condition, NBC 10's Tim Furlong reported. A 17-year-old was shot in the arm and a 19-year-old was struck in the leg, but neither wounds were deemed life-threatening.

Two girls, ages 9 and 12, were struck by bullets after 7 p.m. as they exited a car at 15th and Etting streets.

McKEESPORT, Pa.-- Police were on the scene of a shooting in McKeesport Saturday night.

Two people were shot in the area of Coursin Street. One of the victims was flown to a nearby hospital
