I grew up with Ms. Murphy. She and I were once best of friends and I know everything that she had gone through when she was a child. What she needs is help and people that will be there for her to help her stop drink to a point where she can't be responsible for her son. I was shocked when I found out what had happened. I felt bad. I hope that the father does get custody and that he will take well care of his son and be more careful that Crystal was at that time. I am glad that the baby is ok and that she isn't hurt as well. I tried to help her years ago with somethings when she was 18, but she didn't want it and she needs to speak with someone more than just being medicated. I hope things work out for the best and wish the best of luck to her, the baby, and the father.

It was very wrong and very irresponsible for her to leave her 8 month old child at home just because she need more alcohole. I felt bad for the father and concerned for the child. Ms. Murphy needs to spear with a counslor and try to get some help that way. She needs to lay off of all the alcohol. I hope that after this she will learn that nothing is more important than your child, but sometimes people don't learn after the first time or even the second and so on. Maybe she will be different and she will learn from this experience.

Her neighbor may feel bad because she is her best friend, but she did the right thing. Hopefully things will work out for the best and this won't ever happen again with her. I feel bad for the baby. She is so luck mothing happened to him while she was gone. Children come first and if thats not something that she is willing to realize than, well I feel very bad for that little boy. My heart goes out to him...I hope that she realizes how lucky she is that he's ok.
