An economic recovery in Michigan? What recovery?
#1 Jul 21, 2010
I live in an affluent area that just happens to have a RR track running smack through the middle. I love the sound of a freight train passing at night. Slow trains switching cars, not so much.
About a year ago I was sleeping more soundly as there were very few trains moving around. I determined that it was the economy causing that sound relief. Now we are back to being very busy at night with cars shifting and passing through. This is one of those informal seat-of-the-pants indicators, but I believe it does indicate a turnaround in Michigan's economy. Could we backslide? Sure.
