I thought it was a retail and condo project. Since the parking and entrance and exit for all of the retail and condo's will be destroying our historic district. The city approved this with a special land use so this developer never had to go before the zoning board for anything. He is putting in a glorified strip mall, no unique business's. And the building is ultra modern while our downtown was built in the eighteen hundreds. The city is going to redo their Masterplan again, just done in 2005, in 2009. The North side of W.Henry St protects us right now making this developer keep the top two floors residential, I bet he is sitting on this developement till that Masterplan change and the north side of W. Henry gets rezoned Central Business then he can sell those top two floors as office space like he wanted to do in the first place. Being designited a Historic Distric is a JOKE in Saline MI. It means nothing!!!
