Super Center Not So Super for Business Owners

A proposed Wal-Mart Super Center in our city of Soledad is an excellent idea. My only concern is that traffic will be a problem that could result in backups on highway 101, that could result in traffic accidents.

I love the idea of a super center. I love Soledad but there are just no jobs here and no shopping...my boyfriend and I already have to drive 25 minutes to Salinas or 45 to Gilroy to got the Super Center there because Foods Co just doesn't cut it all the time.

i think that a super size wal-mart is a good idea
this town does not have enough shops
just housing
for every 250 houses there is one store!
and with the walmart it will complete soledad
even if people dont admit it.

A Wal-Mart Super Center is a terrible idea for Soledad. The Foods Co. is bad enough. People come from all over the place to shop at Foods Co. causing overcrowding and traffic. I do not shop at Foods Co. The store as well as the parking lot is filthy. We do not need anymore people coming to Soledad to shop. I would never shop at a Wal-Mart anyway. The people who shop at Wal-Mart and Foods Co. are rude and trashy in my opinion. We do not need anymore of these people in Soledad.

Wal Mart is a great idea. a lot of seniors citizens love Wal mart but can't drive to Salinas.

THE SUPER WALLMART IN SOLEDAD IS A GREAT IDEA. IT WOULD OFFER A GREATER VARIETY OF PRODUCTS, AND AT A CHEAPER PRICE. ALL THE SMALL STORES DON'T WANT IT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T COMPEAT WITH WALLMART. THIS IS THE U.S., AND THE BUSINESS THAT CAN PROVIDE THE BEST SERVICES WITH THE BEST PRICE SURVIVES. PEOPLE ARE CRYING SAYING TOO MANY PEOPLE WOULD COME TO SHOP AT THE NEW STORE AND MORE TRAFIC. YOU CAN'T HAVE YOU CAKE AND EAT IT TOO. JUST THE FACT THAT I COULD DO MORE SHOPING IN SOLEDAD AND NOT HAVE TO GO TO SALINAS IS REASON ENOUGH TO BUILD IT. ALSO AS SOLEDAD GROWS, THE STORES IN SOLEDAD THAT ARE ALREADY OBSOLETE WILL BECOME EVEN MORE SO. IT'S A NO BRAINER.

I do not and would not shop at Wal-Mart. If anyone took a few minutes to find out where the Walton's donate their money I doubt they would shop there too. The Walton's make sure to give their money to organizations, think tanks and whatnot that help to squeeze out the middle class and keep the poor population poor. On the surface it sounds great, but after doing a bit of research, I would do not advocate the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.
