The police have more important things to do than babysit Mexican gang bangers!
Another deadly weekend with multiple, simultaneous violent crime scenes forced Salinas police to hold two shifts over and call Sunday day shift officers in early.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol and the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office also helped out.
Two suspected gang-related shootings at two separate parties left one man dead and two people wounded.
Jaime Zamora, 25, was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Saturday night after he was shot several times at a backyard party on Hoover Street, Salinas police said.
His is the 12th homicide of the year in Salinas.
