from virtueonline:

"Their lawsuit, which was initially filed March 5, contends that the school allows and encourages older students to physically, mentally, emotionally and sexually abuse young students.

"According to court filings, the legal action purports to chronicle a 'dangerous and disturbing culture at a boy's military school which must end'...

"Two new defendants are named in the revised lawsuit: The Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America and the Episcopal Diocese of Western Kansas, entities which the suit says created the school."

Boy's military school?

I have no doubt that a culture of serious hazing abuses is present at this school. Such hazing has been a problem at many boy's military schools. They need to get to the bottom of it and put an end to it. Unfortunately, such behaviors are so customary at these schools, which schools are often a repository for kids with serious problems, that the only remedy will be to close the school.

In other places, these behaviors did not stop until the schools were forced to admit girls into the ranks. This is a fact.

As to who the "three stooges" are, sorry, bud. You can't get away from that so easy. You earned it.

For some reason I never thought of TEC operating or sponsoring military schools of any type.

One of the dangers of any private school is picking up kids who were kicked out of public school or who were having difficulties in public school.

Another danger of any private religious school is enrolling people students who do not share the religious values or affiliation of the school.

When it is a boarding school, the greatest danger is not supervising the students 24/7. Since some of this would consist of child abuse, I wonder if they authorities at the school called the police as most state laws require. If not, they are no different than the Catholic bishops who do not immediately repeat child abuse by their priests or others in their church. I have a hunch that a lot of grief could have been avoided if the officials at this school immediately called the police when abuse happens. The culprits would be in juvenile hall or prison (depending on age) and be marked as a sexual predator for life. However, given the record, it appears as though the administration of this school is clueless that there is a real problem at the school and clueless as to what the law requires them to do. If that is the case, they ought to get sued royally. Many money and prison time can wake them up to the severity of what is happening under their watch. At the very least, they should never be entrusted with the care of children again.

When I read about St. John's Military School issues I felt bad about those six boys. These boys faced lots of mentally harassment from their staffs.
Parents should always try to review all detail about schools and their reputation before enrolling child in them.http://www.militaryschool .net/
