1st offense. My boyfriend took a plea bargin of 6 years instead of going to trial for mortgage fraud with 1/3 to serve in Georgia. He was told that he would only serve about 6-10 months, however it's been a year and when I call I am told that his case is still under investigation and will not be complete until another year. Who can I call to get them to look at his case and speed this process up in hopes of getting him out sooner than 12 months?

My friend took a plea bargin at the age of 17 when she accidently hit and killed her boyfriend with her car at 16. She got 12 years for Voluntary Manslaughter she has served almost 7 years now and just had her parole and is not getting out till January 1 2011. I was wondering if there is anything we can do to have it reduced if there is anyone we can contact. I looked at all her paperwork and there is so much proof that this was a accident and I was wondering who I could contact if you have any answers I would really appreacate it. Thanks

Kellie, Kellie, Kellie. If it was deemed voluntary manslaughter, it wasn't an accident.
Tell your friend to sit and rot. She will still be alive after her time is served.

My boyfriend has been fighting a case since last year of October. He borrowed a friends jacket while visiting there during a evening, but when leaving the police where in seach of someone but searched my boyfriend and then a kind screen found inthe jacket was later checked for resadue which was found to be cocaine. What can I do to get this resolved. His witnesses have not cooperated and not helping out. He is been in jail for 6 months which was home for at least 4 months but because he was not able to make it to court on time he was picked up on warrant and now in jail again. If possible help please let me know... Thanks!!!

your friends has already served 18 of his 24 months so why not just sit back and relax for the next few months and wait for him to get out after serving his whole sentence

Wow! It really is faster to type without regard to punctuation or spelling!

Hell my son & daughter in law rape my niece she walk away with endangering a child he got 22 months. turns out she also abused and tortured my 4 yr old grandson & three small children she babysat. My grandson told all in pawnee where i rushed him to upon their arrest on the rape. she scalded my 4 yr old grandson twice than slaps him in the face any time he angers her & the judge says this is all normal?????????? I guess porn movies are no longer the in thing as this 4 yr old was placed in bed to watch mom & dad & now he acts out terribly who will be blamed for his actions ? him of course. prison is too great a place for them that do the crimes.

My friend was set up by the cops with 1,000 e pills, but when they arrested him they had no probale cause so they were forced to let him go. When they released him they failed to inform him about his court date causing him to miss his court date. Because of that he got an outstanding warrant out for his arrest forcing him to turn himself in. Now he's sitting in county awaiting his courtdate facing 3-5 years. Considering the fact that he was never informed about his court date is there anybody that knows anyway i can get him out before his hearing? if you have information that can help me please contact me, my e-mail address is chrisf559@yahoo.com

He was caught with a thousand E pills and they let him go without probable cause? Oh yeah, sure. Then they re-arrest him and he's facing 3 to 5 years for missing a court date? Yeah right.

The perp is LYING to you. I don't buy his tale and neither should you. Check with the cops, the court, and an attorney for the truth before deciding on a plan of action.

I just asked my husbands Public Defender to file for Judicial Motion For Release Of Inmate. She wasn't to happy about it but I have stopped by her office and sent her postcards (so she has to read). So far I got my hubby transferred to the city jail I live in with a 2nd court date in two weeks while he was ordered for production to court and he is now staying at the country club local jail not prison at DVI Tracy Ca...where riots, stabbings often happen.

Wish me luck with his release. It took a lot driving, phone calls, cries and pleads with PO's, PD's, DA's, Correctional Center, Prison, Jails...but its working. Our case is some what different only due to the fact my husband over served sentences in 2007, having credit for his newer convictions. We had a jail marriage (he owes me big...2nd wedding) and both vowed to stay away from drugs...which leads to crime which lead to new charges (against us both) which is why we have felonies.

Exactly, the taxpayer needs to be paying every dime it owes on it's criminal justice system and not a dime less. In fact, the states are awash in extra cash, they should probably consider doing away with plea agreements, probation and parole to use up some of that extra money they got.

Exactly, totally forget the fact that these people are in jail after being found guilty of criminal acts! No one should have to serve time for crimes. Let them all go free to do anything they wish without any consequences! Think of the dollars saved by letting criminals run free!

People who truly commit *crimes*, yeah, jail time to keep them away from everyone else because they're dangerous. Like the kid in the Arizona shooting. Dangerous to others.
People who commit random things the cops can get mad at you or not depending on what mood the cop is in, definitely no jail time. You on marijuana in your house, not dangerous to others. Why the hell do we have to pay taxes to give free housing and food to people who like a bit of weed in their lives?
This is jail: do something minorly (or majorly!) illegal, and get free housing and food and criminal training from everyone else that is in there. Yeah, that'll be a great deterrent for crime.

Here's a novel idea! Don't do something you know to be illegal. That is a great way to stay out of jail. Contrary to what most semi-literate posters here think, the police aren't out to get you. If you are doing something illegal and you get caught, you will have to suffer the consequences....End of story.

My friend was arrested for robbery and got out on bond but went back for r.s.p ( receiving stolen property ) but had no clue the car was stolen he got sentenced with 4 years and 11 months and he had never got in trouble before . The judge told him to come back to see him in 6 months and he might let him go on probation with good behavior in prison because he dosnt want to see him in there for that long and he's only 18 is there any chance he will get out ? p.s he has already served 6 months before he had got sentenced
