Got to love how the Salina Journal keeps us up to date on what's happening in town, letting us know this all happened without really telling us that the "story" of the city's take actually happened a few months ago.

It took our federal legal system more than a year and a half to be able to essentially convict a pile of cash, an inanimate object, of being illegal drug proceeds, after it was essentially arrested by the local, state and federal members of the task force after arriving in town in a suspicious manner. I'm not sure if I should be happy that our system of Justice works or just plain disturbed that it does.

When large amounts of cash are arrested by the authorities, does it have Miranda rights?
