Your so dumb if you think the reason our police force quit was due to embezzlement just who was living above their means? Chief Willis? Unless his wife is a doctor which I'm pretty sure she isn't you should be lucky you have who you have now!!!!!
I'm pretty sure that I'm not living above my means! You know nothing about me or my net worth. I make good money where I work, which is none of your business and I know how to manage money. Making accusations could just get you in trouble. Please keep posting, I'll know soon enough who you are. Please, again, keep posting your slander, see what happens

with u threating to find everyones isp on anyyone who has an opinion about the former chief does that make you feel better ? he was a public offical and if u work in the public sector you are as well and when you are a public offical you open up yourself for jabs, knocks, critisismd, half truths from the public be that right wrong or indifferent so if you are thin skined about it one should not be a public official

As you know an ISP address is useless without getting a warrant to take to the provider,if the warrant is frivilous its a violation of civil rights and false arrest not to mention a waste of the judicial system time and taxpayer money. There are many free programs that will fetch ISP address so have at it Lady just be careful.

An IP address is nothing more than a piece of information, a clue. An IP address alone is not probable cause that a person has committed a crime. Furthermore, search warrants executed solely on the basis of IP addresses have a significant likelihood of wasting officers' time and resources rather than producing helpful leads. But go ahead waste your time.

Fact of the matter is your husband did not do his work Ms. Willis he was rude and unapproachable, he did nothing other than drive Main St and make a few traffic stops ,he also had a few DUI checks other than that he was done, did not work late nights and weekend nights he wanted the easy shifts and Folosom just followed him and his ways. We had rampant drug use/ deals and thieves running around late at night weekends and such but where was Chief Willis? Sitting at home watching tv with you, making candles? BTW they stink as far as getting the wick straight in those jars, yes I bought some but only to be a nice person more than you or your husband has been to Salem. While I am at it why not say why Willis quit "the truth " on why he quit? Not some fabricated excuse about council removing Stamm as why because that was not why was it? I have spoke to the city manager and I was told the truth why but Willis lets the town think it was because council let Stamm go {the same applys here to Julia}. So go ahead bitch and complain all you want,he is gone we dont want him back and he can make as many candles as you need while you work. I am glad we now have cops training or not that actually work!!!!!!!!!!

You must remember that there was no crime in Mayberry and it goes without saying that with these policemen we now have I hope it goes the way of Mayberry. NIP IT IN THE BUD

So now I am hearing the new Cheif is not doing any actual police work. I seen the counties in town yesterday working and the police chief was driving around? I asked somebody what the deal was and they said the Chief is not handling complaints or issues, that he was basically there for appearance. So why are Salemites paying a police fee again?

The Chief and an officer stopped by my house last night around 9:00PM to make sure everything was OK.

They also cleared up a question some of you here have asked. The new Chief of police can do whatever any other officer can do. In the near future Salem will have 24 hour police coverage if needed. Once again, people in this forum DON'T have the right information. I can only imagine what a great place this town could be if people stopped acting like idiots and put all this energy into positive things.

That is not true , a police chief does not have to go to the academy he is as certfied as any other officer. Examples of chiefs and sheriffs that have not went to the academy: Bo Meathrel, John Folsom, both from Salem PD, Jerry Turner West Union Police Chief, Carson Underwood Doddridge County Sheriff. This is a short list none of these people went to the academy and they had the full authority to act as does Mr. Swiger if he arrests you or writes you a ticket it will stand just as any other officer so please get your facts straight.

An uncertified officer can not arrest anyone it would be like Joe Blow off the street making an arrest dont believe me look at the state code Chief of police us considered an admin job doesnt have to be certified like Chief Secreto at shinnston but by state law a uncertified officer can not lawfully arrest anyone

You can detain someone until a certified law enforcement officer arrive but you can not "arrest" anyone with out being certified law enforcement, a bondsman revoking a bond or a certified bounty hunter

It's only a matter of time before Chief Barney screws up and a huge lawsuit wipes Salem from the map.

Well lets see how it goes the first time Al pulls someone over and KNOWS nothing about his job. Looks like a law suit waiting to happen. He has no authority, other than an administrative position: schedules, taking deposits to the bank, drinking coffee, etc.

You are correct! Called the WVSP Academy and asked these questions. Now here's a fella that knows what he's talking about. I hope the others take the time to call and ask these questions, you would be surprised. Hennings 14 week on the job training equals nothing.
