No,not in the tobacco shop, but don't know for sure where at. I can't wait,@ lease we can purchase fresh produce 5-6 days a week in stead of just Wed. and Sat.'s at the farmers market. Going to love it !!!!

It will be a good thing if the produce comes from a local garden and not purchased elsewhere and brought here to sell. In order to sell produce everyday it's going to have to be a BIG garden and what will happen in the winter months?? If it's going to be purchsed elsewhere, I, personally would rather just go to Clarksburg to the Produce House where I can buy produce year around.

I liked buying from some of the people at the Farmer's market because I know that with the amount of produce they brought, I was pretty confident it did indeed come from their own gardens, with the exception of one of the vendors.

One vendor, and I won't mention names, sold things that were purchased elsewhere and she sold them as coming from her own garden or family member's gardens. I'm not saying that she didn't grow some of the things but I know price stickers were removed from watermelons before she put them out to sell. I don't know about everyone else but I've never gotten items out of my garden that had price stickers on them.

But everyone has their own opinions and if this new business can help people that would otherwise have no way to purchase produce, then I hope it goes well. As for me, I think I will continue to purchase my items from some of the vendors at the Farmer's market.

The way I see it, rather its from the garden in the back yard or produce from where ever, if I want it and it looks good and I have the money than I will buy it. Yes, local produce would be great but please understand the weather is not always the same year after year and the produce doesn't grow the same. I say bring it in and if you don't like it than go somewhere else. I think I know who you are talking about and she was as honest as she could be. She said she had other family members that gave her produce and that was so true. She said they themselves had 2 big gardens and that was so true. She said she brought in Ohio corn and that was so true. She was not begging anyone to buy from her, if they didn't want it they didn't have to buy it. I wanted some of her corn(knowing it came from Ohio, because she said so), but she sold out, does that tell you anything??? Some people really doesn't care, if it looks good and they want it, just buy it or walk away. The watermelon was so good and so sweet, I think my wife bought 3 or 4 before the end of the season. Bring it back next year lady, my wife and I will buy,

Hmmmm, I know who you are talking about, I must say I loved her produce , she was honest, if it came fom somewhere else she told you honestly. Like the sweet corn, she said it came from Ohio and didn't matter how much she had she sold out,
i guess others really didn't care either. I'm right behind you Herb, the water melons were great and I didn't care where she got them. Can't wait for next season, wish I could remember her name, I know Angie but really didn't get to talk to her. Her tables were very nicely displayed, very appealing, eye-catching.

I never said that she wasn't honest about some of her items, not just all. Items sold at the local Farmer's markets are suppose to be locally grown in this area, not bought elsewhere and then sold here as locally grown. As long as she is honest, I wish her all the best.
