Well Trucks

The well trucks traveling Salem`s roads are becoming more numerous and speed (faster than 25 mph) thru town going to get water and have been for some weeks now. Someones going to get hurt at an intersection. Wheres the police on the speeding? I have seen more than 6 at a time go thru now together for weeks where it used to be maybe 2 or 3 at a time.They seem to be very busy late at night too. anyone else notice this?

You should try living in Center Point. 15 trucks at a time going by too fast. Running 24/7. Roads are destroyed!!!

I was run off of the road yesterday on Rt 18 south. Why are these drivers in such a rush do they get paid by the mile ?

They are usually amped up on speed pills

most of the drivers they hire have no road ex,they dont know how to drive roads like rt 23 or 18, let alone pike fork,broad run.I used to drive log truck no those roads and no one ever flag for me.they are not speeding thank god or they may have killed someone by now. they just can not drive..

I lived on skeleton long ago and i would not want to have to drive Rt 23 at all these days. I now live in town and its bad here, back and forth all day/night long now that kids are out of school riding bikes/ walking along the main road someone should at least patrol the area and tell those kids to use the rail trail but the Salem police never seem to be working why do they bother to have them?

I work for them.. all the drivers are local... dont complain about us about your road.. call the DOH

How many of you have gas stoves, hot water heaters, dryers, furnace...you rely on gas. You need gas. Gas wells have been around forever. I don't hear any of you complaining about mine subsidence or sulfur in the creeks & streams. These guys are doing their job. Stop bitching. It's getting old. Get use to it cuz they aren't going anywhere.

Don't have a problem with the wells or them drilling. Its good for our economy. However, I wish the driver's would be just a little courteous and stop running people off the road and slow down. Seriously I get ran off the road at least 3-4 times a week. They don't even slow down. I have had to be pulled out of the ditch twice. Guess I should just let them hit me and let them pay the repair bill. But they probably still wouldnt stop.

Maybe you should invest in a 4 wheel drive. Perhaps its not there driving thats bad. Ive been driving trucks now for almost 10 years, both on the big roads, oil fields and coal country and as far as respectful you people in your little gas powered grocery getters are the most disrespectful/discourteous road hogging whinest bunch of impathetic people around. Boycott gas and coal, when you starve we wont have to hear you cry the blues about everything.

truck drivers puff weiners, thats why the railroad is coming back so strong because all you need to be a driver is a license, no high school diploma or ged required just stop complaining on this site because with out pictures the drivers cant figure out what u r saying..

I live in Center Point and I understand you guys have to do your jobs. All we ask is that you slow down. We live on a narrow road and some of those guys are going way too fast. Someone's gonna get hurt!
