Nice question... don't you think the word(s) "should" or "should not" would have made it a little bit easier to answer?

Too funny; a totally meaningless poll with no answerable question. Sounds about par for the course.

I don't know if he should step down, but I am monitoring the progress of the Town very closely.
The days of paying these public servants big bucks and cushy benefits for same ole same ole are gone.
Also I think council must accept some of the blame for being duped into hiring someone with no experience. Yeah we would have had to pay $20.000
or so more for an experienced City Manager but
we would be much farther ahead.

Much further ahead. He's been in there what, two years? Do you really think paying someone more would have gotten us further ahead? Experienced or not, he is still in government, dealing with the government. Anyone who has experience dealing with government knows it is not fast, nor an instant or easy thing to deal with.

People want to see more from your GOD..like last night ...C.M. and his assss kissers was out removing snow...Great good job...BUT what about the sidewalks??? What about the side streets?? What about around the mailboxes?? I watched two older people leave their house today to go shopping in town (taxes payers)...They had to have family members help them to cross the street to get to the store..snow was piled high in front of their home.. NO sidewalks to walk on..How about their mail and newspapers You can hardly get to your boxes..
C.M. wasn't thinking of them last night...But again we paid for the fuel he used last night sitting and watching the man on the bobcat..Where did the bobcat came from??

I had no problems this morning I parked at nicholsons or in front of a meter walked up the street by the library right on up to the drug store no sweat. Sidewalks mail boxes and papper boxes are not the citys responsibility you the property like me the property owner you have to clean your on stoop the city has enough problems I live on one of the biggest hills in Salem and it was in great shape I appreciate the city crew and what they did. I drove by last night and saw Don Stamm with the bob cat cleaning the sidewalks then I came back home and Dave Mayle was on it with a city worker in the truck I think its great to have a cm to work with the crew its great ! You would not see Frank R or our famous CM Kenny Yost out with the men good for him. As far as the CM and ass kissers care to eleborate that comment does not even make since I have not refered to the man as god but he is the best thing this town has had in years and I along with allot of people are happy with our goverment and their response to this recent crisis now next week when it floods I gurantee you the CM will be the first one to assist anyway he can. I am a Dave Mayle SUPPORTER I have been since the first flood and will continue to be. I know him he will never resign his post and he is under contract I have been to those meetings and I dont speak for the whole town but the man is very popular with the citizens and I think the loud minority cant stand it I think its great! The large silent majority would fill the city building in the thought of this guy quiting or being removed there would be a huge explosion.

Yes..that is the small part of town I was talking about...YES The city should remove the snow infront of the boxes of the houses that sit on or near the road....I for one shoved and then went back out to find my boxes blocked again!!!
NO damn wonder Salem in the shape it's in when people like you are supporters of someone that can so easily talk you right into anything...Do you really listen or just follow??? Where were you all years ago?? One track minded old people!!! who will soon be replace by younger hopefully smarter people!!!!

I think no one person should work for the city in any position for more than 2 years!! I think different people with different ideas and work ethics would help get Salem back on it's feet..in a timely matter! When you hold a job for to long you grow bored ..you get use to the route make fewer changes..work less for same pay or higher..I think we can do better all around in Salem..But..we won't see it in our time!!

No I have followed the situation for years with previous concil people who were absolutely terrible and then we get people in trying to make a difference and you the naysayer the bitcher the hater tries to get people off track. It is not the citys problem your box got covered up and further more they had no right to clean it up get your dead ass outside and shovel like the rest of us. I shoveled for two days and didnt expect nor want the city to clean in front of my mail box. If you live on main street the state road also pushed snow if you live on water or patterson they to push snow there so im sorry you got covered keep cleaning im sure you will did out soon. Goverment is not responsibility for exery asspect of your life.

I agree with you I think people get in a routine however you have to have some consistency in govt and services I think we have now where we never did before I dont think two years is long enough I think 4 is enough to make effective change for the betterment of the community.
