Knowing something about the case in question, This particular detective charged the above defendant with nothing more than a nuisance type of crime. He has twice tried to violate her probation so that you the tax payer can support her in jail for the next 6 months. This is a lady that holds a very good job, college educated, owns property, pays taxes and her own health care.
This very same detective was not interested in info on a meth lab that was later given to the VA State Drug Task Force where it was deemed "Dead On info".
Back in Nov, this same detective botched a prostitution sting in the most hilarious way that only the Chief Perkins' will shake his head and send them all back for retraining. This will surely embarrass the vice unit.
When this very same detective was notified of a 2x convicted felon cocaine trafficker, fugitive from FL with a gun in the Roanoke area, he had NO Interest. Instead Richmond was notified and they picked up where Roanoke would not. Way to go Henrico Co.!
Yet they want to put this lady in jail for a simple nuisance crime. Just leaves you shaking your head.

What was forgotten here was a few days after arrest for probation violation the lady was to be arraigned. Her counsel sent the proper paperwork to the courts but some how the courts very "conveniently" lost the paperwork. She then pick up on a failure to appear charge with a "no bond". Thankful to her atty he was able to track down a judge and get her out after he had to prove the paperwork was actual sent on said date.
Odd timing for something like that to happen. Once again head shakes

This is messed up, some kid just got 2 years for multiple felonly's and they are going to lock this gal up for 6 months on nothing serious. That makes no sense. http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/wb/306680
The worst part is the cops didn't do anything when they were alerted to a fugitive being here. That pisses me off
