For those of you who are praying people, please pray for David and his family...He was in a terrible wreck last night, now in ICU in St. Louis....

DO NOT PUT ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO THIS POST...THIS IS NOT THE TIME NOR THE PLACE FOR THAT!

David needs prayer as does Cassi....they have 3 small children who need their Daddy to be whole and healthy again....David's injury are VERY serious.
PLEASE PRAY FOR COMPLETE HEALING AND RECOVERY AS A YOUNG MAN'S LIFE HANGS IN THE BALANCE!!

Thank you. My son, one of his best friends, requested that I get the word out and start a prayer chain.... If you believe in the power of prayer please stand in the GAP for this young family. God Answers Prayer

I went to school with his Dad and know his family. I had not heard about this. Please keep us all informed. I am glad you put what you did about the negative comments. People tend to use any and all opportunity to, for lack of a better way to put it, just be PLAIN MEAN!

Irbx: my prayers go out to David and his family.
I do not personally know him or Cassie, but if they have a such a person pulling for them, such as yourself. Im sure they are deserving of such a miracle.

God bless.

UPDATE ON DAVID BLANKENSHIP - Thank you for all your prayers, but don't stop yet!! He is not out of the woods entirely yet, but he is conscience and talking and texting, which is a good sign! Halleluja!!I told you God Answers Prayers!!

He will have to have reconstructive surgery to his face, and months of rehabilitation to learn many things we all take for granted, such as walking, balancing, etc.... BUT HE IS ALIVE and starting to heal...
Please keep him and his family in your prayers. He has a long road ahead of him!!

The news report said that he had moderate injuries and was taken to Salem... I had no idea that he was injured that badly. I wonder why they didn't fly him out immediately?? Our prayers are with the family.

He was flown by air ambulance to St.L from Salem...Police may well have given that report to paper b/c they (law)wanted to take him into custody at first, as soon as ER released him...However, thankfully, the ER docs knew how serious his injuries were compared to what could be treated in Salem or Rolla....Thank GOD he is in St. Louis where there are wonderful, well educated, compassionate and very competent Trauma I teams!!That is the disadvantage of living in that area, do any of you know of any other Trauma I Hosp in the area or what that is?

BTW: I was told this evening that as early as yesterday they began removing tubes and the like...so ya gotta believe that prayer had everything to do with that b/c I was told the staff was surprised by his quick start to recovery!KEEP PRAYING FOR HIS HEALING AND HIS FUTURE NOW!!

Uh, the only accident I saw that mentioned "moderate injuries" on the online edition of The Salem News,(which is LAST WEEK'S EDITION) was involving a motorcycle accident. That wasn't David. He was in a pickup truck.

The edition which will have the write up, IF ANY, will not be out until tomorrow....They still publish on Tuesday, right? His accident happened over this past weekend... Let's don't get any rumors going here, OK Folks?
Misunderstandings can be cleared up.

Lets get something straight. He was not flown by air ambulance to Stl. Due to the weather air ambulance was not flying so he was transported by the Salem ambulance. Law enforcement will not take someone into custody who is not fit for confinement so the comment about law officers is false. Regardless I'm glad to hear he is doing better.
