@Right, Don't take anybody's word for the truth, educate yourself and formulate your own conclusion. Read the book, "Rule for Radicals", then compare what the author says, with exact quotes by members of the obama cabinet and obama himself. You will see what they really believe. Even obama in his book said that he liked the radical activist type.

The a funny thing about government acquisitions in that it has to include paperwork to no end. The Department of Homeland Security just purchased 7000 NATO-style AR-15 5.56 mm "personal defensive weapons". Amazing you folks just take this in stride as if nothing is wrong. Why is it when the DHS purchases these weapons they are called "personal defensive weapons" and when we own them, they are called "assault weapons"? The elites are drawing the line. We are the subjects and they are the overlords.

When people like Louis Michael Siedman are beginning to teach things like our constitution is obsolete and you are ignorant enough to call people paranoid, yeah it becomes easy to realize your head is in the feed bucket.

Someone explain this to me. The company produces fertilizer, in Pakistan. It's known to provide one of the major components for improvised explosives for insurgents in Pakistan and Afghanistan. So we give them a 1.27 billion dollar bond to set up shop here in the states? Huh? Hello? Is there any intelligent life left out there? Hello?

Now now Fargo, let's not be paranoid. Islamic bomb component manufacturers are our friends.

Now... back on target..

While I know youtube is not a reasonable and completely reliable "source" for truthful information I watched this:

Today and found it to be highly disturbing...

What I call "marked concern" for the 'trends" that are emerging .. others on here of a nut-liberal bent or stripe refer to our "paranoia" as funny, entertaining, irrational... blah blah blah... But the truth is the truth..

apologies if this has already been posted.. and or if you have already viewed it... if you havent.. its worth a watch..

Lol alright then... you can call me crazy back. I may not agree with all that the government does either, but it's a whole other thing to accuse them of wanting to wage war with the american people. You can quote as many biased sources as you like, doesn't make it any more the "truth."

Maybe?.. but it ALSO dosent make it any more the UN-truth either... now does it?

and bias? WHAT do you think has given life to all of this non-sense in the first damn place?(besides O-bum-os'[and his sychophants] agendizing imperative which is as plain as the penis head "mushroom prints" on Hunters forehead?)

You dont get truth in reporting anymore.. so one must weigh a multitude of information from various sources.. NOT just the MSM.. which are ALL biased towards the God-in-chief..

Good grief.. wake up..

That's an old state of mind. I bet there were a bunch of people that screamed, are you insane, your going to war against the British army. Why, all they want is just a little more taxes! Others thought just not owning slaves got you off the proverbial moral dilemma, let those southerners do what they want with their blacks. I will just briefly mention that World War II started on September 1, 1939, we got involved two years later. Many said, that's europe's problem. And so on, and so on. It's called hedging your bet, protecting your losses. You feign ignorance or non-recognition with the hope of not changing anything in your life and sitting back and seeing how things turn out. Even Jesus had one of them, forced to show the nail holes and the cut at his side.
I will tell you one thing. I pray everyday that that insanity will never occur, because if it does, on the other end, we won't be in Kansas anymore, Dorothy.

Try again. I'm more going for a critical thinking and logic approach. Look at arguments from both sides before making a decision.

I'm not sure how to put this too clearly, but if your calling it a downfall of America's Constitution, then it seems America is advancing without you.

If I were to quote anyone it would probably be FDR's speech, "So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself—nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance."

With that I'm out of this discussion. You can enjoy furthering your paranoia... I will continue to laugh.

apologies in advance for the ad hominem if you are inclined to feel thus..

However,

Its just as well that you bowed out... from what I am reading and from what your saying...you, are of the type that has always been happy to be the fence sitting, nay-saying, sideline, thumb-in-their-ass-type anyways...

Im pretty sure I stressed the "look at MULTIPLE SOURCES" to gain a perspective statement.. and it sounds as if you are completely fine with the constitution being turned into toilet paper.. and "advancement".. now theres a term.. advancing in WHAT direction? for what purpose and to what ends? It seems America and its constitution are no longer synonymous with each other.. if we are moving towards a post-constitutional era.. of collectivist, Lenninist socialism.. then I and many others WILL resist..

It is that simple..

as for FDRs' quote.. it has as much relevance as you do in this discussion.. despite his socialist agendizing.. he was at least to a degree a man for and of the people and this nations constitution.. esp. during a time of war..

I find it odd that this discussion is going on. No one seems to have a problem with the soveriegnty of this once great nation being taken away, not by the the "government", but by the talking heads of the big corporations and wealthy feudal lords that have ripped the little "d" democracy from the hands of the people. You all squibble about your "rights" to free speech, guns, etc., while these cretons send our jobs overseas, cut their own taxes, take our natural resources, and shield their wealth in foriegn countries, all the while using the services (i.e. the military, courts, etc) that you all pay for. And all the while they laugh in your faces and spit on you. And you all smile and say thank you sir may I have another. And then blame the "liberals","hip pies","blacks", "illegals", or whoever else they tell you is to blame. Its sad to see how dumb and unaware this country has gotten. So if you think the "conservatives" are on your side you are a lot dumber then I give you credit for. Just a little advice before the name calling starts..History is a good indicator of future events. Do some research.

Despite your proclamations and name calling.. it IS interesting that THAT portion of the discussion HAS NOT been raised. While I and anyone else who call themselves Americans are FOR a capitalist free market society.. we ALL should take notice of your statements.. for 'tis truth that you echo...
However, the problems we have been discussing AND the issue you cite are of and from and a part of the larger whole as described. They (the politicians and corporate America) walk lock step with one another.. the bed partners that big business and the U.S. government are, is and has become in a word despicable and in most instances criminal or real close.
Of course this issue (corporate -political corruption) has to a greater or lesser degree been a problem for our country (as it has been for many other nations down through the decades and through different periods in human history)... the Military industrial complex.. that IKE warned this country about comes to mind as a recent example..
Recently I was up late and had the opportunity to watch some Hannity on Fox.. I am no fan of either per se..(Fox or Hannity) there wasn’t anything else on at the time however.. but as I (as stated previously) one should attempt to obtain information from a variety of sources and afterwards conduct a comparison to filter out the B.S. and to sift to the facts (sad that we have to do that)..
But I digress... during this episode:

http://www.youtube.com/watch...
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
Hannity and the other 2 gentlemen... Outlined how DC and the corporations / lobbyists are completely in bed with each other... on BOTH sides of the isle…
DC it seems… has become the country’s biggest and latest BOOM town... but not for reasons one might think… like discovering a rich deposit of oil or as a gambling mecca or as a location for tourists etc… a MUCH different set of circumstances prevail here…
private corporate jets.. 250.00 + plate lunches.. new housing starts for much needed expansion regarding new tenants (corporate representatives).. who now need part time housing in DC as they are there that much.. these parasites.. paying for hot rod Italian sports cars in CASH.. and those manufacturers not being able to keep up with the demand for their vehicles.. all stuff one would expect in say a place like Vegas, New York or L.A… NOT DC.
Senators and representatives themselves becoming lobbyists…(after their multiple terms are up) kids/ family members are lobbyists… etc etc.. ALL for the big corporations. GE was cited for example.. for every 1 dollar they spend in lobbying..(and it was substantial...) they earn back 2200.00 as a result.. through govt. contracts, tax breaks and set asides.. that 2200.00 of course comes from you and I Joe taxpayer of course.. all the while they line their pockets over and over at our expense..
The entire episode was eye opening yet somehow sadly expected...
(seems we as Americans are just fine with or have just come to expect that our politicians are being crooked and allowed to run amok as they want.. long as we have the basics and a few goodies we deem necessary)
... and yet sickening display of almost overt corruption and reach-around nut-rub money-for-favor politics and graft that I have ever seen. The only thing that these “people” were missing was togas, sandals and a door mouse or 2 for lunch to be on par with their crooked Roman imperialist state counter-parts of almost 2 thousand years ago..
I welcome discussion on how we can correct this mess we’ve allowed our elected officials to get us into..
