They are complete idiots and will be on welfare and do nothing but cost tax payers money! Usually the poorest rural areas and poorest city areas have this problem because they are to stupid to have sel control and take birth control.
They like to breed and make it is society's problem.

Because they mess around (like teens have for YEARS) and get caught they are idiots? That's the most ridiculous statement I've heard in a long while. I was one of those "idiots" years ago and guess what??? I have a college degree as does the child that this idiot gave birth to when.I was 16. Everyone's story.is different amd unique, but I assure you that does not make them idiots!

This is a pretty straight forward Cause and Effect situation.
Cause: Teens in rural MO have very little to occupy their time in a constructive matter (In Salem specifically there are ZERO entertainment options for teens in town. Seriously when I was in school we drove in circles around town for hours...for fun....yeah). Effect: Teens drink, do drugs, and have sex.
Cause: Abstinence is taught in Sex Education instead of teaching teens how to properly use birth control products. Parents of most women do not put them on birth control because "Their little girl would never be having sex!!!". Guys hate condoms and have a very narrow view of the consequences that come from not being safe. Effect: Lots, and Lots, and LOTS of unprotected sex.
Cause: Abortion is a word that can get you hanged in these parts. They are also expensive, hard to receive, and for many not worth the social stigma. Effect: Lots of babies born to parents far too young to actually care for them which most of the time leads them to continue to live with their parents after High School instead of finding work or going to college.
The only cure for this is Education. REAL education not some watered down sermon that barely slides by on the separation of church and state laws. Make condoms available, teach young women about Birth Control, and maybe build a freaking place for teens to congregate and have fun.

Thank that good ole' abstinence only education that Salem High School offers in 6th grade. I remember we already had classmates that were having sex in 6th grade and we had two girls become moms in the 7th grade. I would also like to point out that birth control wasn't easily accessible then. Most parents refused to accept that their precious angels would be having premarital sex. Rolla planned parenthood was the only place you could get on birth control without your parents because it would show up on your parent's insurance if you went to your regular family physician. Teenagers and adults alike have a tendency to not wear condoms every single time.
