No one is going to take our gun rights away and they will never make us register them like hitler did in Gernmany. That is the end of my conversation.

Damn straight. That's as ridiculous as not believing our government intends to use those 400 million hollow points for target practice.... Hell don't we all use those for practice rounds?

This bill is DOA.
It will never see its way out of committee, IF it even makes it there.

It's a start.

Most of the nation is for more gun restrictions such as this.

Suck on that.

Obama won the election easily even though all the ultra redneck southern good ole white boy gun nut paramilitary wannabes voted against him.

You have been disenfranchised and your voice is not needed.

Suck REAL hard on that.

Slurp.Slurp.

Most of the nation? Can you show any poll that says "most
of the nation" supports ineffective gun control measures?

I agree, you are probably correct but to think someone even proposes this kind of trash makes me sick.

If you are correct, then most of the nation is either ignorant or supports higher crime rates. People will argue all we need to do is get rid of guns in other places and the crime will go down but countries which have tried this saw crime rates go up, not down.

Absolutely, my comments were not ment for one to become complacent. Everyone still needs to contact their represenatives and voice their displeasure and concern about these type of bills.

Even if they do not stand a snowballs chance in Hades of ever becoming law at this point in Mo.

I've got a brilliant idea, while we're trying to restrict gun rights even more, let's also make drugs illegal and see how well that works!

Quote from MO state senator Brian Nieves Facebook page.

""To all my 2nd Amendment supporting friends: Let me make this perfectly and abundantly clear... The Dems in BOTH the Missouri House & Senate have, and will likely continue, to file Anti-Gun Legislation. Here's the Good News - I am the chairman of the committee in the senate to which ALL gun bills are sent!! ALL Gun Bills, good or bad, must go through me!! I assure you, I promise you, all these Anti-Gun Bills are dead, as in D E A D - Dead!! ALL - ALL - ALL the Anti-Gun Bills are DEAD!"

THE WORLD HISTORY OF GUN CONTROL
1929 -- The Soviet Union establishes gun control. From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1935 -- China establishes gun control. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1938 -- Germany establishes gun control. From 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, and other arbitrary categories of people
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1964 -- Guatemala establishes gun control.From 1964 to 1981 100,000 Mayan Indians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1966 -- Cambodia establishes gun control. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1970 -- Uganda establishes gun control. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1999 -- Australia establishes gun control. Law-abiding citizens were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms for destruction,
a program costing the government more than $500 million.
The results Australia-wide:homicides are up 3.2%, assaults are up 8%, and armed robberies are up 44%.
In the state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%.
Over the previous 25 years, figures show a steady decrease in armed robberies and Australian politicians are on the spot
and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such a monumental effort was expended in "ridding society of guns."
In a mere 100 years, more than 56 million people,
unable to defend themselves because of gun control, have lost their lives and property.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property.
Gun control only affects law-abiding citizens as criminals will always find a way to obtain weapons.
The next time someone suggests how much safer the world might be with gun control,
ask them which group of citizens they would like to exterminate.
