I am an amature photographer coming in from out of town and I was wondering...Where are some good places to take photos in or around Salem? Indoor and outdoor. Thanks in advance!

Dent County Court House, Bonebrake Nature whatever (lol)4th St business district.

South of town has many great nature shots from the Current River to bluffs and farms, they are everywhere. And there is so much more that just slips my minds at the moment.

Welch's Spring is my favorite spot.
Shawnee Mac lake is nice.
Short bend can be nice, if you walk away from the parking area.
Down by Devil's Well is good. It has been upgraded. The pond is pretty.
Then again,,,EVERY WHERE around there is a good back drop!
The sunsets are awesome. The color changes are beautiful. A blanket of snow is always nice.
Have fun where ever you go.

I agree Rocks Rules, with the Welch's Spring however, there is a site located just before you get to the Spring turn-off that is probably the most beautiful I've seen. Pull off to the side of the road and you can look deep down to the Current River below. Awesome, just awesome!

I do not know where any are near Salem. I would love to know. I like to look for fossils in the old rocks.

On 72 hiway East past Bunker, you will find what left of the old side tracks. The track way moved timber many years ago. It wasn't a full size track. It goes for many of miles.
