Does anyone have an opinion about R-IV. I have my complaints and wanted to see if any other parents feel the same.

I think the place sucks! Teacher are bullies, there is a mold problem most people don't know about. And the supt. needs to do a better job! She just hired someone that some of the kids were bragging about smoking pot with. And yes she knew about what the kids where saying before she hired them. I could go on and on.

OH My your a douchebag. If you have a such a problem with the school there is a simple thing called a transfer.

The mold problem is true. As for transfer that is not an option since there is no other school they could go to. This is my kids first year here and it has been rough. I do feel that the teachers are bullies. If you have a problem and take it to the principal she doesn't do anything about it. It just seems like they are picking on my youngest. And my oldest was so much further ahead at the other school. What do you do?

I agree that place sucks, they r not fair or equal to all the students! Their test score r so low its unbelievable. They need to get better people for teaching and superintendent! My kids have always went to this school never had a problem til the board and superintendent changed! Transferring is not a option when it cost 30,000 plus per student. However u can contact the board of education! And make a formal complaint like the rest of us. The more they know will help this situation,we all r in.

I went to that school and it was bad then. Would a transfer even help if it was an option? I haven't heard very good things about any of the schools around Salem.

Kids behavior starts at home. And when a principal deals with kids behavior there are confidence laws that won't let him tell you what discipline the kid you think is picking on your kid gets. So when your kid comes home sayin the other kid didn't getintroulble doesn't menn that is what happened. As parents we need to consider the home lives of other kids our kids go to school with and think about being teachers adn principals who have to deal with bad behavior disrespect and parents that don't support them when they are trying hard to teach their kids. Just sayin...I have family who are teachers and teaching is a hard job and kids don't always tell parents the truth. Think about it and then maybe try to be reasonable don't always believe our kids right off the bat and let our kids know we are behind the teachers when they are just trying to do their job.

R-4 is doing alot of things they are not suppose to be doing according to missouri board of education. ITS LIKE THIS IF YOUR A PARENT AND DONT GO TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY AND SUCK SOMEONES ASS THEN YOUR KID IS GOING GET IN TROUBLE.

We need to start teaching our kids respect and in turn they will receive respect. Makes everyone happier. My daughter is a teacher and for the most part all teachers hands are tied. We need to support our schools and our teachers, if the child knows everyone is one the same page, they tend to do better. Teachers are ment to teach not to baby sit. Be a part of the solution not apart of the problem. We all know when we were kids we would say just about anything to stay out of trouble, even if it mean,t a little white lie.

Thank you very much for judging my parenting skills. When you know nothing about me or my children. My children are raised right. They have been taught respinsibility and respect from day one. I believe in discipline. I not saying all teachers there are bad. But I have not been impressed with the principal, counselor, or 2nd grade teacher. My children did not have any problems at their old school. At first I did support the school and the teacher, but when both my boys come home and tell me the same thing, I am going to believe them.

This school has been at utter disappointment. If I would have known it was going to be this bad we would never have moved here. I am seriously thinking about homeschooling them.

I DONT BELIEVE YOU ARE SMART ENOUGH TO HOME SCHOOL YOUR KIDS UNLESS THE SUBJECTS ARE STIRRING SHIT CHEATING ON YOUR HUSBAND OR MAYBE DRINKING BEER AND POPPING PILLS!!!!!!!!

Wow. You seem to be the one stirring shit. Not that it matters to a person like you, but I am very educated. I have a college degree and am always furthering my education. If I was not educated I do not believe that I would read Chaucer, Dante, and Poe on a daily basis. Do you even know who they are? I think not. I am a hardworking Christian wife and mother. I do not drink or pop pills. You have no idea who I am so how could you make these accusations about my character. I was not trying to stir the pot. I was just inquiring to see if any other parents had the same feelings as I.

So, why are they looking for a new 6-8 grade special ed teacher? Did someone quit or get fired?

Must I add again, the school was terrible 25 yrs ago. I'm sure not much has changed, except further delapidation to the building. That small country school hires what I like to call "throw backs", and "have nots". I would never imagine sending any of my children there.
