Think they are way to high on their prices for the amount of food you get,and it's not very good at that. They messed up when they took the food bar out,in my opinion. What does everyone else think?

I personally like the Brick House. The food is wonderful the service is great. The prices in my opinion are in line with what you get. Funny the ones that complain about it always mention the food bar being gone. This leads me to believe the complainers are the grossly obese that no longer have a feeding trough to hang around.

The food bar at Stephen's was nasty. Under seasoned, over cooked, day old food is not my idea of a good meal. If you liked the food bar, then I agree with the poster above. It was probably more of a "quantity over quality" thing for you...

Brickhouse has decent food. Not amazing, but decent. The prices are reasonable. The fact that it takes an hour to get your food when the restaurant is only half-full is ridiculous.

Food wasn't great. I ordered a steak, and it was dry and flavorless. Took entirely too long to get my food. And I agree that they should have kept the food bar.. and NO I am NOT grossly obese, I just like to have variety and it's also nice to not have to wait for an hour to get my food. Nice people, and nothing against the restaurant, but I'd rather drive to another town and eat in a place where I actually enjoy the food.

well, guess everyone has an opinion, so suppose I will add mine, and yes I know some of you really don't give a **** about mine but here goes anyway. I have eaten at the Brickhouse a dozen or so times. I have never had a bad meal there, nor have I ever had to wait an hour for our meal. I am soooo glad there is no old stale food bar, they are the kiss of death to good places to eat. As far as prices go, I think they are inline with the service and quality of food. I took the kids to Mcdonalds tonight and dropped almost 30 bucks, for a few dollars more we could have got a much better meal at the brickhouse, but every once in awhile I have to give into the kids nugget cravings,, LOL.. Each and every visit we have had a excellent waiter/waitress, very attentive, nice and personable. I hope they keep things going, and hope Salem continues to support them, it's not a easy business to start up, run and keep things fresh to keep customers coming back, so kudos to the owners and staff,,, and look forward to our next meal there,,,,

Even though I have been dissatisfied with the service and "under-whelmed" by the food, my family and I have still supported Brickhouse. In fact, we have probably been there 10+ times since they opened. The responsibility of keeping a restaurant open DOES NOT fall on the customers, but rather on the owners/operators of the business. Like I said before, the food is nothing to write home about either. And, considering I will be waiting for over an hour for my food anyway, I would almost rather drive to Matt's in Rolla. Perhaps the cook or manager or whoever needs to taste some of the dishes they are sending out. I have tried something different every time I've been there, and most everything has been either grossly under OR over seasoned. I sincerely hope they do stay open, but I think they are going to have to tweak some things to draw in the business.

And hopefully someone in management from Brickhouse is reading this!

Brick house is not closing. My family and friends have eaten there many times, we LOVE it. The restaurant business is extremely hard to get into, so instead of the people of Salem bashing someone trying to help the economic standing of this community. I'm so glad there isn't a food bar, they are disgusting and unsanitary. I love the Brick house and hope it never closes.

can i say you are out of your mind, what a bad thing to say, most places has a buffet or food bar. only because alot of people when they do go out, want to get the most for their money that doesnt mean they are obese, you have got to be kidding me with your statement, HOW RUDE YOU ARE.

well to tell you the truth, if the food isnt that good and you have to wait a long time, then why would we want to go and pay good money, just because there isnt alot of places in salem. alot of people dont go out that much to eat, so when they do they want a place that is good, so i would as soon go to the chinese rest. or even Pizza Inn or Pizza Hut, then to go to a place just so they can stay in business if they arent good. or i can go to Rolla. we can complain all we want that is freedom of speech and last i heard we still had that right to complain about a place that isnt any good or maybe it isnt good to me and good to the next person. but thats our right to say if we like it or if we dont

I like to eat, I like food bars, I'm not fat, I just like value for money. The old places buffet was not great but 13 miles to town is better then 50 to rolla. I may stop in brickhouse and try their food
