I'm not posting this to fight or argue with anybody. I'm just trying to inform parents of what's going on in the kitchen at R3.

I know for fact that the head cook at R3 has brought her pug dog to school more than once and turned it loose in the kitchen. And the Supt. knew all about it. Better yet she was picking ticks off of it this last week in the kitchen. HOW GROSS!!!!!!

I sure wouldn't want my children eating from this kitchen. It is very gross and unclean.

So I guess your pet is never in the kitchen at home when your cooking dinner? And I rather doubt she was picking ticks, a little extreme don't ya think!

State regulations donot allow any type of animal in the kitchen due too the possibility of hair getting into the food , animals in the kitchen are viewed as contamination, state has very strict codes.

Better not be broken in any public place that people eat in... Just saying. That's disgusting.

Why are people so damn dramatic about every little thing? It just kills me! For one I don't know who Amber M is, don't guess I really care! Thats another topic I'm sure. But yes I do have one dog, a little fella and I would never make him stay outside, he is a member of our family! Oh well, someone will always find something to say bad or wrong about someone else! Guess what no one is perfect!

it is hard to believe that anyone cooking food for children would bring a dog into the kitchen. what is worse people would defend someone doing that makes no sense to me some children are allergic to dog hair not to mention parasites in the food good grief

True, that is why I don't believe for one second that it actually happened, but if it's on topix it must be true RIGHT? Really people!

Oh it really happen, I can promise that! Believe it or not, not all things on this site are a lie. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would have a hard time believing it too.

Be that as it may, This was really not the place to vent your problem. I understand your concerns, however, I don't know what grudge you may have against the school, I have none, my child also attends R-3 and has never been sick from eating the food. Our school has had a pretty good record with the public, are you trying to bring them down for a reason? But I guess my opinion does not matter because, evidently I am a bad parent anyway because I have a dog in my house! People make mountains out of mole hills on this site, It's sad, but true! You should have just voiced your opinion to the school board instead of salem topix!

I was at the school on that day as were alot of parents and a few major details were left out of the orginal post by "parent" and stated as "fact".
Fact: the dog was there one day - Tues. whcih was field day and spent a good portion of the day with the cook's child.
Fact: field day meal was BQ and was done outside not in the kitchen.
Fact: repremanding staff from a boss is done in private so there is no way of anyone knowing if the super. did anything or not and as a staff member "parent" would know that.
With all of the recent distruction and deaths in this state I am so glad that there is a place where people can go to express their opinions and part of the facts. If you have nothing better to do maybe you should go help in Jopin instead of trying to tear down a school for personal reasons.

School food has always sucked. Make your kids lunch. It is cheaper and better for them. School lunches are for fat people.

The dog shouldn't be in the kitchen but I bet if it was there was no "tick" picking. My kids eat fine there and never got sick. Also I have 3 inside dogs that weigh only 4 pounds and by golly they stroll through the kitchen too. Get a life.
