I warned you ALL!

In between 2006 and 2009 I posted on here many times explaining in detail how ten post graduate students who studied economics and finance predicted that Michigan would begin to collapse like no other state has in history if they did not correct their fiscal mistakes. The predictions stated that cities would fail entirely, that population would decline, jobs would evaporate, and crime would rise dramatically.

ALL those things are happening as we speak. Detroit is now the most miserable city in the United States according to many surveys.

The prediction went on to say that unless michigan righted itself financially, that within ten years it would be reduced to a mere "territory" and not even resemble a state. This has happened.

All across your state you have had to arrest many corrupt small town officials for embezzlement and theft. In one city that lost more than half of its population, officials decided to shut the street lights off for over half the city...making it very dangerous at night. The population of that town which was once 54 thousand people, has declined to just under 11 thousand people.

Your leaders are failing you miserably. The students who studied Michigan economy also stated that your main problem was that you spend over 2 BILLION dollars annually to keep people in prison for extremely long periods of time. You insist on keeping intact the "truth in Sentencing" law which mandates that people sent to prison remain there for the ENTIRE duration of their minimum sentence, offering no good time to prisoners. This not only takes away incentive for people to try to do good, it also steals hundreds of millions of dollars from the free society that needs it much more than the prison system. The economics students stated that if Michigan would REPEAL its truth in sentencing law, that in two years the state could financially upright itself.....but no one listened.....so NOW....Michigan's biggest industry is PRISONS and PRISONERS....and you are fueling the fire with one of the highest crime rates in the nation. Don't say you were not told. And remember, the lawmakers who vote to make sure all these tragic events continue, THEY are not suffering financially like most Michiganders are.....THEY continue to make a very HIGH wage, with perks and pensions, medical coverage, at YOUR expense. Good by Michigan.....you are entering a new age, an age of invisibility and one of a great loss of importance.

You pegged the meter.
Most states and major cities have gone through hard times in recent years. Many have had emergency managers and moved on. Michigan is struggling, but the sky is not falling.

FEW states have gone through the what Michigan has...and most other states are well into recovery...but not Michigan. While California has great debt problems, they also have the largest American port, as well as the fact that they produce 75% of American produce. Without California, America wouldn't even be in the running......but Michigan has lost the auto industry, for ever. This was a PLANNED event, but lawmakers, knowing, actually, being TOLD ahead of time, that THEY would not suffer because their jobs and high salaries would remain intact, decided to leave the economy on its own, thinking it would revive itself, or NOT CARING if it did or did not, since those same lawmakers themselves would never stand in the unemployment line, never have to get in a food line, or worry how they'll pay a mortgage or afford gasoline......no...they remain secure in a quality lifestyle, while thousand had to leave Michigan in search of jobs that fed families, and homes they could KEEP.

You can say what you want, but a mild story of struggling is not the one of Michigan. Michigan is over, just as those ten post graduate students who studied in top schools across this nation in economics, predicted. The crime rate and the TYPES of crimes being committed in Michigan are horrendous, just as predicted. The decrease in population...is just as predicted. The small side effects of public officials all across the state embezzling and stealing from coffers is also a sign of the true state of Michigan economics. Michigan will not recover in our lifetime.
They still could repeal their truth in sentencing law, and allow people in prison to get out earlier on good time, and even make those people pay THEMSELVES, for home monitoring systems. But to keep paying over 2 billion dollars each and every years will continue to deplete the entire state. and its been years..and the lawmakers still have made no move to repeal that law and attempt to become solvent. And why should they...they themselves live good lives, their pantries are full, they have air conditioning in their offices that taxpayers pay for, their children go to quality schools, their entire families can afford to go to the doctor, the dentist, a movie, out to dinner......they live very far away from most Michiganders in terms of standard of living. Michigan is the first state to fully incorporate the TRUE applications of "The New world Order." Other states will follow. China will NOT stop forward progress.....and America will continue to suffer for this. We have not seen the tip of the iceberg concerning what China is going to do to our economics as WELL as our world climate concerning air pollution. They will also cause natural resources like copper and silver and other metals to skyrocket in price. The rich in America might be prepared for this. Most of America is not...and certainly not Michigan. Be truthful with yourself here my friend...as I said before Goodbye Michigan. Top ranked College graduate students with honors in economics banded together to make a study on the state of Michigan...and they URGED lawmakers to do the one thing that could make michigan solvent...REPEAL the "truth in sentencing" law and save hundreds of millions of dollars...but no one listened. and here you are...read your newspapers in Michigan daily...its God forsaking news every single day.

Michigan has widespread embezzlement. Now you have this Plymouth woman who embezzled 400,000 dollars from a business. How do you back from that? The business loses, even if she has to pay back the money, it will take her years, and now if she is treated properly taxpayers have to endure more expense by putting her in prison.

Michigan needs to begin releasing people from prison...and placing them on house arrest and make THEM py for the monitoring equipment and its costs. All small time drug dealers or people in prison for drugs need to be released, and only the dangerous [people and the child molesters need to be kept in prison. You could cut your prison expense bill in half, and use that money for the people in Michigan who are so desperately in need of jobs, assistance, and medical help.

Things are going to get worse before they get better...desperate people do desperate things, the less money flowing in the hands of people in Michigan, the more crime will rise, and the more Michigan will become less attractive to people living there. You will lose population, therefor you will lose tax base, and then you will lose representation in government. Who up there cannot SEE this? Why are the people of Michigan sitting back and ALLOWING your leaders to continue to drag you down economically?

Detroit is about to have to go into the same situation Benton Harbor has...thats is...an emergency planner or overseer is going to have to come in and save or TRY to save the city.....Study Benton Harbor.....its been on a consistent decline for the last twenty years...nothing people tried to do could save it...no budget cuts, no re evaluations, no hopes, no millage refusals.....you name it and its been tried.

Detroit is now in the same shape except its a much bigger city and the crime rate is much more frightening.

And you still have Flint to deal with, Dowagiac, Cassopolis, Three Rivers, Buchanan, the list of cities that have become burgs..goes on and on and on....
