I was on my sofa this morning watching your news show and I felt the sofa shaking. It lasted 10 to 20 seconds. It felt as if a train was going by the house. As there are no tracks near my house I knew that was not what was happening. I lived in California and have experienced quakes before but it did not even occur to me that I was feeling an earth quake until I saw it on your show. I live in Holland's north side about 2 miles from Lake Michigan.

I sure felt the earthquake! After my husband left for work around 5:30 this morning, I was wide awake and I took my laptop into the bedroom to do some work. About 15 minutes after he left, I felt the bed quiver strangely for about 20 to 30 seconds. I thought that the cat had gotten in the room and was under the bed. I called to her, but she was out in the hall. Then like an idiot, I laid there and jiggled around trying to make the bed shake like that again. I just couldn't quite figure it out!
I sat there for a minute kinda thinking "huh?". I thought back to the nearby Robinson Township house explosion in 2001. I also thought about creepy and spooky things. Then I shrugged it off as my overactive imagination,...until my husband called a little while later and told be to check the news about an earthquake in Illinois.

I am 7 months pregnant and had gotten up to use the restroom, shortly after I laid down the bed and the baby began moving. I didn't really think anything of it because she likes to wiggle around, so I thought the bed moving was in my head. My husband was up and watching the news and I got up to eat some breakfast and realized that the moving was not in my head, I was kind of relieved. I spoke with my father who lives in Livonia, by Detroit, and he also felt the tremors.

I'm in Ludington, and I thought the earthquake felt like a truck driving nearby, which couldn't happen at 5:30 AM in Ludington! It only lasted about 30 seconds or so. My husband thought it felt like a big rumble of thunder, although it's not raining. It was a surprise, though, at this hour of the morning!

I felt it here. It was like the bed was jiggling and lasted about 30 seconds or so. It was enough to wake me up, and I thought I was crazy until I turned on the tv to the reports!

It moved this old building a little, but nothing rattled or fell of the walls.

I sure felt it! It woke me up. My bed was moving back and forth,(no, there wasn't anyone else in it). I thought I was having a dream at first but I got up to take a look around to see what was going on and then turned on the TV and saw that it was an earthquake. I also remember the quake in the '80's around here and also one in 60's here when I was a kid.

I was just waking up at 5:30 to get ready for school, and I heard my dog whimpering. I could feel my loft bed shaking a little, the way that it does when a semi goes by. But this continued for almost 30 seconds, so I knew it wasn't the semi, but I still couldn't explain it. Then I watched WZZM this morning and realized I'd felt the tremors of an earthquake.

I have a bobbing surfer figurine in my room (the kind that goes on your dashboard). I woke up sometime after 5 am this morning to a weird clicking sound. I realized it was the surfer dude bobbing from side to side! When I heard about the earthquake, I thought it might be the explanation.

I, too, felt the tremors at approximately 5:40am today. The sofa I was sitting on began to rock. The feeling was so subtle, I wasn't even sure if it was really moving. However, I could also hear a bedroom door, that was closed, rattling slightly. Which led me to believe that something was happening. The sounds and motions were over in about 30 seconds. It wasn't until I heard the reports on WZZM this morning that I knew I had, indeed, felt actual earthquake tremors!

I am from Grand Rapids but recently moved to Indianapolis. I've talked to friends in Indy and they all felt the earthqake shaking their houses/walls. I also talked to a friend from Evansville, IL and he said that a lot of their pictures fell off the walls! Crazy

I was in bed when I felt my whole body shake for at least 15 seconds. My first thought was I'm either sick or I just felt my first earthquake. I live in Kent County.

Me and my daughter Jamie was sitting here getting ready for her field trip today to Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village and all the sudden the mobile home we live in started to like sway back and forth from the west to the east and we thought that the washer machine was on spin cycle but she forgot to start it. It lasted for up to a minute. We started to look around and noticed that the lamp shade was shaking and so was my house plants to the 52 inch tv we have. I have never felt an earthquake and when we had on back in the 80's, I was so young that I really didn't feel it. This is a history maker for all how have felt it. I am so glad that my daughter got to experience that.

I felt the tremmors in MONTAGUE this morning. Mentioned it to my husband that I could feel my chair shaking, as we were sitting having coffee, watching your morning news show. He thought I was nuts, until I heard on the show 15 minutes later that people in GR were calling in about feeling tremmors.

We felt it here in Ada. We woke up to things shaking in our bedroom. We got up to see what was going on. All we could see was deer running in the yard. It was an odd feeling!
